Riley realized what Jack was doing before pulling Riolu out of harms way.

The bladt misses Riolu and lands a clean hit on the gible, burning it and sending it flying into a tree. Upon hitting said tree the gible fainted.

The Gible leaped nimbly over the blast and continued to scuttle away.

Jack, now thinking the gible would rather respond to a carrot than a stick, rummages in his pack and finds some berries and hurls one in front of the gible, rather than hitting it.

The Gible would indeed rather respond to that, pausing to stuff the berry in its mouth before running off again. Desmond looked confused. "Looks like it's heading for the Sodal house..." he said, indicating the building not terribly far off.

November meanwhile follows the group to the building, wondering what is going on.

The Gible scampers around a corner of the building and vanishes.

"Well...this is the Admiral's house alright. I've met him, I'd better be the one to do the talking." Desmond says, stepping towards the door.

As the two of them argue, Desmond knocks on the door. Immediately, nothing happens. After a moment, nothing happens. He knocks again. Still nothing. A third time yields similar if disappointing results. "Maybe he's not home?"

Behind the house is a small docking facility with a few motorboats in the water, as well as a relatively expansive warehouse, presumably for servicing the boats. The Gible scampers to the end of the dock, then turns around.
