The attack missed and Riolu used the aura bone to pole vault away from the hostile pokemon.

The Hastreebel hissed in pain from the Flame Wheel and, glowing purple, slammed its tail hard into Quilava, hurling the Pokémon back through the air before it coiled its body and sprang at Riolu, fangs glowing bright green...

The large Pokémon got a mouthful of dirt, as Teddiursa, encouraged by Serena, leapt into the fray using Metal Claw.

Riolu jumped back due to a reflex reaction but it then burts out laughing at the pokemon that ate dirt while trying to sink it teeth into Riolu's own skin.

[Flagmauth]

Hissing furiously, the Hastreebel spat Sticky Sap right in Riolu's face before Power Whipping it into a tree.

Riolu sees both the attacks with aura sight and tries to dodge them both. (Rolling)

Quilava blasts a lance of fire at the hashtribel while it's busy with Riolu,

The burst of flame slammed into Hastreebel's flank and caused it to hiss in pain as it landed a Giga Drain on Teddiursa.

"Mmpphh!" Jack muffles his satisfaction with quilava's attacks

[Flagmauth]

Hastreebel, appearing not to be very affected by the attacks despite the type advantage, used Sludge Bomb on Quilava, knocking the Fire-type back and poisoning it.

Although slightly weakened by the poison, quilava tries another flame wheel.

[Flagmauth]

Hastreebel coiled its body beneath it and sprang up and over the charging Quilava, who bore down on and struck Teddiursa instead, drawing a cry of pain from the smaller Pokémon. Serena glared at Jack as Hastreebel turned and Power Whipped Quilava again, smacking it into Snorunt and smacking the two Pokémon into Jack's stomach.

Quilava falls to the ground, fainted. Jack tries to break free of the sap...

Hastreebel turned to the prone Teddiursa, which was glowing faintly red from a Burn received by the Flame Wheel. Fangs glowing green, it lunged forward at the small Pokémon...only to be deflected by Serena smacking it in the side of the head with her bag, swinging it like a flail. Teddiursa noted this as Hastreebel turned away, hissing, to face Serena, beginning to glow white...

Serena, no longer having surprise on her side, was beginning to have serious second thoughts about attacking Hastreebel herself instead of sending out Sealeo or Salom. Nothing for it now, however. "Back off! Go away!" she cried shrilly, backing away from the large and demonstrably vicious Grass-type.

"Has!" Hastreebel spat a glob of sap that glued itself across Serena's face. The Trainer issued a muffled scream and tripped over a fallen tree limb. Hastreebel turned around to finish off Teddiursa...only to find itself face-to-face with a newly evolved and snarling Ursaring which Slashed it across the face, smacking its head into the ground.

Jack recalls quilava and decides to watch the show of ursaring vs hastribel.

Hastreebel, taken completely off-guard, was slow to recover and even as it prepared another Giga Drain Ursaring Slashed it again, knocking it out and knocking it on top of Jack, where it lay fainted.

Jack is pinned on the ground.

Ursaring shifts the Hastreebel from on top of Jack.

Jack gets up. "Anyone want to catch it?"
