"What the hell was that for?" Obi-Wan asked as he got up. He quickly follows the two Jedi Masters and sees two Destroyer Droids standing guard outside a door. "Well, this just got from a minor nuisance to a hell of a serious threat in a couple of minutes. I have a very bad feeling about this..."

"What was what for?" Qui-Gon asked innocently. He ignited his lightsaber and stood at the ready, deflecting a burst of blaster fire from the two droidekas.

"You know what." Obi-Wan says as he deflected bolts coming from the droidekas.

"This way!" Obi-Wan says as he runs into the passage to his right.

"Slowly insane. Oh, you meant my Padawan." Qui-Gon thought he grasped the concept, however, as he sprinted after Obi-Wan. "Come on!" he yelled back to Kit.

Kit Fisto runs behind Qui-Gon.

Qui-Gon ducked behind the corner and stood at the ready. Sure enough, once the three Jedi were out of sight, the destroyers balled up and rolled around the corner after them. The first one rounded the corner and was neatly dismembered by a flick of the green lightsaber while the second was just out of his reach.

Around 6 more droidekas surrounded the group. 3 had already set up and started firing when the three other ones had just arrived.

"Drop your weapons!" One of the droidekas shout.

"Ah hell, this just got more complicated." Obi-Wan says as he throws his lightsaber at one of the arriving ones, instantly destroying it.

"An interesting observation, my apprentice. Tell me, what tipped you off?" Qui-Gon charged at the three shielded ones, bouncing their blaster bolts aside with broad sweeps of his lightsaber blade. Before closing to melee range he leapt over them with the aid of the Force and plunged his lightsaber into the rear of one of the droidekas' shield. The blade threw off a torrent of sparks but as Qui-Gon had suspected, the shield was weaker here and he was able to punch through, neatly severing the droid's arms and disabling it.

"These droids that are attacking us are called destroyer droids for a reason, Master!" Obi-Wan says as he deflects more blaster-bolts. "So what's our net move now that diplomacy is no longer an option."

Just then, he hears an explosion. "I really hope that wasn't our ship..."

"Obi-Wan is right. We can't fight them all when they have their shields on." Kit Fisto says "I do however recall that they struggle on inclined planes such as stairs."

"That's a good point, Master Fisto." Obi-Wan says. "Have any idea where we could find some?"

"A ship of this size won't have very many stairs, if it has any." Qui-Gon said as he deflected a series of blaster bolts. He was an expert on capital ship construction, as the other two Jedi would no doubt be aware. He had another idea, however...He thrust his palm towards the nearest droideka, Force pushing it into its neighbor.

"A ship of this size would presumably have escape pods somewhere..." Kit Fisto thought.

"Yes, it would." That was almost certainly their best option; with their ship either gone or guarded and presumably the entirety of the crew onboard out to capture or kill them, they'd need to get planetside fast and secure either transport or communication to the outside world. "This way, follow me."

Without further incident the trio reached the escape pod bay; rows of a dozen evenly-spaced round openings in the wall where the pods opened onto the ship.

"It will be difficult for us to keep from being noticed by the ship's sensors. Prepare yourself, Padawan. We will need our strength in the Force for this."

"It seems like we'll have to go in separate pods," Obi-Wan says. "I'm not seeing any pods that can hold more than one person."

He climbs into one and presses a button, which launches him out of the ship and down to the planet.

After crashing to the surface, Obi-Wan pushes his door open and finds himself quickly surrounded by a group of Gungan scouts on Kaadu with their spears pointed towards him.
