Intriguingly, the person running the Cherno Alpha vs. The World RP (which is the original inspiration for RoF) has posted links to his rules systems and reference charts for people to run their own games based on that format. 'twould be quite interesting. I'm not making any promises or decisions about anything but among other options this may result in:
1) RoF switching to CAvTW combat rules and format.
2) RoF continuing as is.
3) RoF continuing while a new thread is started in CAvTW format
4) RoF ends in favor of a vTW game.

In essence, Cherno Alpha vs The World is a continuing RP run off Spacebattles (it's since moved to a diff. site but that's not important). The main difference between it and RoF is that vTW games run off a system the original author invented (called Hardboiled IIRC) while RoF like most things on this forum runs off of singular d20 rolls and RPing. The other difference was that instead of everyone getting their own Jaeger it played more like a strategy game. The players got to control what they did with their resources every turn (upgrading Cherno, building tanks, etc. etc.) and in-combat actions were resolved mostly by vote.
