Re: C&CIII OOC
If my understanding that British armies are physically occupying French ports is correct Frenchie could attack them directly - naval gunnery support isn't worth as much and the French Army is one of if not the most powerful in the world, at least on the Continent.

Re: C&CIII OOC
No British troops have landed in France so it's all a navy battle and I'm the best at that.

Re: C&CIII OOC
Gaara.
Man-of-war is a generic term for sailing cannon-armed ships, not a specific ship type.
It is most certainly not an improvement on the ship-of-the-line which is what we've been using. Wikipedia indicates the term "man-of-war" was first used in the fifteen century. So this revolutionary new project is hardly either revolutionary or new.
Really, the next big thing with naval combat is going to be figuring out how to make reasonable steamships (Icelandic steam-sloops are most certainly not the best design you could get...for one thing they're outgunned by sail-powered sloops) and then ironclads.

Re: C&CIII OOC
Well it's a New man of war not the old ones I know what your talking about though but still these ships are bigger and better then most ships. And these are a new type of ship.
