The Kahjit both went for the mage. One with nasty looking claws, the other with dual swords.

Rees charged with a open mouth of razor sharp teeth at the mage's arm. (If Rees succeeded) before snapping his jaws shut and wrenching the arm up so the sparking hand would miss its target.

Rees clamps down on the mage's arm, but bites a bit too close to the hand, sending a tingling sensation down his spine. The mage yells, shaking his arm to attempt to get the Argonian off. Before he can, however, the Khajiit slice him open with claws and swords, killing him.

Ilyssa peered over the top of the shelves. Once she was sure the mage was really dead she stepped out from behind them.

Valtyr yells "hey if the Mage has any rode let me have them because I need somthing more suited for a Mage" as he walks over to the dead Mage.

Rees let go of the dead Mage and tries to clean his teeth before the Breton saw his bloody mouth. When that failed Rees shrugged and took a deep breath.

"Don't know why I bit him. It was instinct. Fight or flight, you know?" Rees shakily explains as the blood ran out of his mouth. "Can't loose one of my friends to a lucky Mage got a cheap shot." Rees says as he spat blood on the dead Mage. "Doesn't taste like he had any magic in him."

Ilyssa pointedly looked anywhere but at Rees, walking forward to go through the mage's pockets while ignoring the Argonian. She jerked her arms away as Rees spat a mouthful of blood onto the corpse's chest. "Hey, watch it!" she said angrily, glaring at Rees.

Valtyr saw a locked cage in the torture room and saw a Reid Mage with Mage robe on " I call those" he said as he looked around to find some lock picks or Guard keys he new that the guards would have some around just in case the lost the keys and couldn't get the doors open. He saw a guards back pack and looked in there for anything he could use as a pick all he needed was some tipe of tool.

Ilyssa watched Valtir rooting around in the pack. Looking for keys to the lock, most likely. The elf had so far been one of the only people to treat her in a civil manner, so she decided she'd help. But not with the keys...she'd learned how to pick a lock a very long time ago. She took a hairpin from her bangs - annoying, since that pin held them well back from her face - and snapped it, bending the broken end into the shape of an improvised lockpick. That and that dagger she'd found, assuming she was careful, ought to do it. She inserted the pin into the lock and started fiddling with it.

The lock unlocks without much difficulty. Valtyr found some lockpicks and a healing potion in the pack.

Hearing the telltale click!, Ilyssa twisted the dagger in the lock, turning the mechanism and opening the cage door. The Breton smiled to herself. That was one good thing she'd gotten out of being on the run, and working with needles before that hadn't hurt either.

Pushing her now-loose bangs out of her eyes (that was going to get old really damn fast, she thought irritably) she stepped quickly inside the cage...no sense leaving any spare septims in the dead mage's pockets, after all. He certainly wouldn't need them where he had gone.

After having removed any potential valuables, she turned to Valtir, who had procured among what appeared to be a few small torture devices a healing potion. "Hey, Valtir, you wanted these?" A tilt of her head indicated the robes.

[A Blind Guy]

"Shall we continue?" Vaninir asks.

[gaara]

Valtyr smiled and thanked her as he dawned the robe feeling more powerful as he put them on "yes let's get out of here"

[Frenchie]

"Hey you there, yes you!" A dark clothed and hooded figure says as he points to Vaninir "would you mind getting me outta here?"

[Flagmauth]

Ilyssa started at the sound of the new voice, pulling the shortbow from her back and notching an arrow to it. She started to draw the string back but stopped - the figure would have had more than enough time to launch an attack on them if he'd wanted to. She didn't put the arrow away, however.

[Frenchie]

"I'm in a cage Breton, you seem to be such a nervous person" the figure says

[A Blind Guy]

"Who are you?" Asks Vaninir, keeping a hand on the hilt of his sword.

[Flagmauth]

Exasperated, Ilyssa sighed, removing the arrow and sliding it back into the quiver. "If you want to get out of said cage, scaring the living daylights out of me and then calling me a coward is far from the best way to get me to help you," she said crossly, slinging the bow back around her shoulder as she spoke. "And yeah, who are you exactly?"

[Frenchie]

"A prisoner, does it matter? This place is going to crumble, with me in it, without your help." The stranger says

[Frenchie]

"Coward? Strong words."

[A Blind Guy]

"You're the one good with locks, you make the choice." Vaninir says, backing away from the cage and looking at Ilyssa.

[gaara]

"Here" valtyr says to llyssa as he hands here the lock picks he found "your better at it then me and we do need to help this guy" valtyr said kindly to llyssa then turns to the man on the cage "if he mean us no harm and stays out of are way then I guess he can come as long as someone keeps an eye on him"

[Frenchie]

"I won't cause you harm, not worth the trouble. Besides I have an... Arrangement."

[Flagmauth]

Ilyssa sighed heavily. Valtir was right - given the Imperial administration at this place the man was almost as liable to be innocent as he was to be a murderer. She accepted the makeshift lockpicks from the elf and knelt in front of the cage lock, head bowed over the mechanism as Ilyssa worked to open it.

[gaara]

"Why you get him out of ther I'm going to scout ahead I'll come back after I go a hundred feet or more" Valtyr ran down the hall with his sword in his right hand and magic ready in the other.
