DCeVB OOC Thread
BEHOLD! The long-discussed Disney Steampunk Heroes RP is here at last, for your nerd pleasure! As you can see, it's a Standard RP. I'm the GM, which means I ultimately control what goes on. HOWEVER: the story may be run by more than one person. I'm just here to make sure things stay unbroken. For example, there have to be some relatively strict rules about magic.
Magic here is not like magic in T&T or Skyrim Point Five. Magic here is a rare thing, a gift bestowed upon an exceedingly small number of individuals. But when it is gifted to you, by golly is it gifted. Anybody remember the Genie, from Aladdin, who could do pretty much anything (and now he has no bond to a master, either)? Elsa, from Frozen, threw Arendelle into an ice age by accident! As such, if you want to play a magic character either from Disney canon (magic also grants you immunity to aging) YOU WILL NEED TO GO THROUGH ME! This is not optional, and no, you may not play Elsa, I'm playing Elsa. Nor may you play Merlin since Sirius is doing that, or Maleficent since Helsie called dibs on her.

Re: DCeVB OOC Thread
Yes, you can go ahead with that. Also keep in mind Steampunk!Robin Hood is Arendellan so he'll need an appropriate name. Bjorn Baardsen might be nice, taking the surname from a Norwegian folk hero whom apparently served the same position as Robin Hood did for England.
Re: DCeVB OOC Thread
Thank you and thanks for the name

Re: DCeVB OOC Thread
Posting BG's character profile I made for him. There's a certain secret I'll put in a spoiler, don't open it if you aren't BG, since it explains a LOT about how this character's just so damn good.
Phil
I don’t think there’s such a thing as being too cautious. You’d be amazed how often you can win just by patience and analysis.
Full Name: Philoctetes Hellenus
Age: Early- to mid-twenties, it looks like. Apparently he’s in his thirties.
Race: Human, Greek
Gender: Male
Appearance: Blue eyes and curly russet hair. Phil is built on roughly the same lines of Drostan or Bzothan - the man is practically a giant made of muscles.
Abilities: Phil’s an experienced airman serving in the Southern Islander fleet, recently brought aboard as the executive officer of the Exegeiroma for her journey to Arendelle
Equipment: Standard Southern Islander military outfit for an officer. Has access to the Exegeiroma’s entire armory, meaning he can get whatever equipment he needs from that as well.
Personality: Fairly easygoing, if a bit overcautious at times. He’s an extremely well-educated and well-versed soldier, a crack shot, an expert swordsman, and perfectly willing to help anybody who asks. He’s the model Southern Islander airman by all appearances, practically too good to be true in some respects. If only he didn’t come off as acting like your grandpa...
History: Born and raised on the Southern Isles, serving in the airfleet from a young age and climbing the ranks astoundingly fast.
Occupation: Executive officer aboard the Exegeiroma.
Affiliation: Neutral Good, Airfleet of the Southen Isles
Flaws: As stated previously, despite being a model airman in all other respects Phil is a bit overcautious and a bit rigid in how he deals with things. He takes a bit to get used to novel ideas and techniques, even if he’s good at them once he does.
Tactics: Caution at all times - analyze the enemy’s fighting strength and advantages and then hit them hard where he believes it’ll count most.
Notes: Has a marked lack of an interest in women, naturally sparking certain rumors among the other airmen (largely those who are jealous or envious of him, there are plenty who like him just fine as an officer). Also speaks fluent Greek, Turkish, French, German, English, Norwegian...hell, it’d be shorter to list languages he doesn’t know.

Re: DCeVB OOC Thread
Guns of Icarus is more what you call guidelines than actual rules. Attacking the engines is still a valid tactic though. Rolling for the Revenge...
