The group got to the combat arena in record time, allowing them to change into their armor with the exception of Kon who kept his classly look together. Once they did do that however, Professor Goodwitch glanced at him "Why are you wearing that?"

Jeff didn't bother with combat textbooks. He didn't know if there was one and he didn't care - he was a god and would act accordingly.

Turns out the textbook only had one thing inside of it "Don't die."

Clearly, all of the effort was put into this book.

Glynda glances at Jeff "If you mean fighting Grimm and one another? Than yes, you can call this fight club."

"She talked about it, she broke the first two rules." Mark says.

Glynda smiles "Well if you're so keen on volunteering, you shall be the first contestant."

She typed a few things on her scroll before the screen above her shows Jeff's picture along with another blank picture. The blank space was soon replaced by the pictures of all the first years and it shuffled through them so fast no one but the gods could keep track.

It soon slowed and stopped on Pyrrha's picture "Mr. Sarcelle, you will be fighting with Mrs. Nikos this morning. Both of you, step up to the stage."

"Oh dis gon be good." Mark says with a smile.

Jeff stood up, stretched, and plucked Advent of Thunder from his back, allowing the blade and its spikes to extend out into their full configuration. He recalled from conversing with Pyrrha that she was an undefeated tournament fighter, so this would be most engaging. Resting his blade on a shoulder, he made his way down to the arena.

Pyrrha did the same, unsheathing her sword and shield from her back and bowing respectfully to Jeff from across the arena.

"Five Lien Pyrrha wipes the floor with him." Yang says.

"Make it ten." Jaune says.

"Triple it, and I'll say Jeff will win." Mark says.

Jeff bowed flamboyantly, doffing a hard-light tricorne that materialized atop his head, before straightening back up and replacing the hat at a jaunty angle. "I assume neither of us are going to hold back just because we're friends, right?"

Pyrrha smiles back.

"Go!" Glynda calls.

The second she does, Pyrrha charges at Jeff with a speed so fast bullets were jealous.

Jeff promptly snatched the tricorne from his hat and threw it at Pyrrha's head - whether it hit her or she deflected it it would still provide a useful distraction, then spun away from her intended strike while slashing with Advent's superior range at the side of Pyrrha not covered by her shield.

Pyrrha jumped in mid-air and pirouetted so the hat landed on her head perfectly and she simply blocked the strike with her shield "Nice hat." she comments.

Given the hat being completely under Jeff's control, that worked out nicely. It promptly jammed itself down and over her head entirely, tightly encasing it in opaque hard-light and leaving her completely blind. Since he had only the one very small construct, Jeff felt justified in strengthening it to the point where any attempt to remove or destroy it would fail. "Glad you like it," he replied as he pulled his blade back, one of the teeth catching the edge of Pyrrha's shield and hauling her off-balance. With her guard wide open, he spun and delivered a roundhouse kick to her exposed back, pitching the champion a good twenty five feet or so away.

Even blind, Pyrrha effortlessly flipped through the air and landed perfectly "This isn't going to suffocate me is it?"

Jeff didn't respond, as doing so would give away his position. Instead he fired a railgun blast - not at Pyrrha directly as she'd only dodge it - but at the ground beneath her feet, catching her in the explosion. He followed this up with a charge of his own, swinging Advent in a broad arc.
