Background
500 years have passed since our brave adventurers have taken it upon themselves to retrieve the peaches of immortality. Of course, there wouldn’t be a story had they failed. As a result of retrieving the peaches of immortality, several further immortals have appeared.

• Ambrosius Caesar: A former Roman legionary turned gladiator turned escapee turned drug addict turned immortal mage-warrior turned Emperor of Byzantium.
  
• Taron the Rider: A paladin of the god Karna, famous for his ornate armor. He travels the land smiting evildoers and generally enjoying the company of his best friend, who happens to be a dragon the size of an office building.
  
• Tian Seng: A necromancer and contender for the title of most powerful spellcaster in history. Holds great influence in the imperial courts of China, along with a swathe of territory worked by hundreds of thousands of animated skeletons.
  
• Fukuma Saburo: A Japanese spellsword turned divine warlord, unifying the Japanese archipelago under his rule and looking now to claim lands elsewhere such as Formosa and Korea.
  

Starting Setting
This RP is based upon the game of D&D – where we’ll be starting as level 1 characters. Of course, since we won’t be doing much book-keeping we won’t in effect be playing D&D. So, level is a general guideline for power level of the character. We’ll just adopt the “feel” of what the specific D&D classes can do.

You’ll be starting off in Japan, where Aki Akane granted her master one of the peaches. Unfortunately, the master was a power-hungry daimyo. Now with immortality and 500 years to gain power – he has unified Japan under his reign. Shogun Fukuma Saburo, rules Japan with an iron fist.

To join, fill out the template and post it in this OOC thread. I'll most likely approve your character, once I get a change to read it. Avoid playing summoner characters (too much to keep track of) and innate flying character races (they can have wings - but can't fly).

We'll be starting in Japan. But if you want a non-Japanese character that's fine. You can come up with a decent reason why your character is in Japan.

Looks good thus far. Basically an artificer is someone who crafts items infused by magic. Essentially a tinkerer with magic. That's to say, you'll be able to craft some cool gear for your party and cast a handful of spells. The link below (unofficial playtest material) from wizards has the artificer divided into alchemists and gunsmiths. Of course I can think of other cool types of artificers that are not covered (like the straight out tinkerer or someone working on automaton(s)), so there's some options as well.

So if that does in fact interest you, we can then based on your specialty for artificer decide what is reasonable for you to craft.

Yes this does help, so its like modern day engineers but instead of using coding or electricity, they use magic as a source of power to their creation, right?

Alright, that looks good. I guess we're basically ready to start. Helsing said he's almost done with his character and Sirius's needs only a name by the looks of it.

Do you guys want me to make up the artificer master or do you have something specific in mind? From Flagmauth I was told "Eccentric Mad Scientist" - which I can totally work with.
