"Riley." Riley says bluntly as he walks past Rob over to Jack. "Can we trust this guy to not get in our way if things get troublesome?" He asks Jack honestly and the pale white eyes seem to be focussed on Jack's very soul. (It would unnerve normal people into telling the truth)

"Desmond Bennett, Bug catcher extraordinaire." Desmond said. In response to Jack, he said, "Admiral Sodal. He runs a ferry business a little to the west of Petalburg. It would be faster if we went around Hoenn by sea and then to Johto and Kanto from there. He's actually a pretty nice guy once you get to know him."

"It's the other way, Dez..." Serena said. Desmond turned around and marched in that direction instead, followed by the others....

You are now in Petalburg Woods, following the trail south through the foliage.
