Czar Charles doubles the work in the shipping industry to build the navy faster.

Meanwhile, Russia opens up selling minerals with some of the other nations.

Britain jumps on there seing of rock like a panther.

Since Russia doesn't have a shipping industry, they couldn't sell the minerals to Britain, so they decline Britain's offer and instead sell them to Germany.

They offer a mutual trading and military alliance with Scandinavia.

Aztlan notes the design of the Anglo-Scotch steam sloops. Aztec military analysts conclude that while useful for harassing merchant ships the vulnerability of the paddle-wheel and the necessary sacrifice of a third of either side's cannons to make room is not a valid answer to the overwhelming firepower that new Aztec or British ships-of-the-line can bring to bear.

That said, if the paddlewheels could be relocated Aztlan believes they may potentially be useful, at least for linear speed and acceleration over maneuverability.

Britan says that they will send there own ships to get the minerals it may cost them a little more but they would still like to trade with Russia and asks them not to go to Scandinavia because of there weak economy and military from the war and asks if they will do that will Britain instead.

Also Britain asks that portagual leave the CA because of tech competitors and says that they can join the tech pack with the ottomans and British.

The Ottomans ask for trade with Russia, and asks both Britain and Iceland to start production of a fleet for the Ottomans, the ottomans well send supply's money workers and material to them since they know they want to keep the blueprints for the steam boat as securitized as possible, and the Ottomans continue to look into the lightning conductor

Britain keeps reaserching new tech on medicine and weapons hoping to create a new long ranged mortar and new field stuff.

Britain will help help the Ottoman as they see them as one of there clos friends but says that there fleet will need to come after the British cfleet that has been going on since we found the steam boat but will none the less start on there fleet.

Russia begins to build trading ports along coast of the Baltic Sea.

Russia opens up the trading ports. They demand to know what Britain will give them if they trade the minerals.

They also begin an agriculture industry (wherever they can find the proper soil for it) and a fishing industry.

Brtain Says that Russia can trade for any of the resources that Britain has like with all trade. For an example wool which is not common in Russia.

Also Britain says that Russia shouldn't make demands that they can't back up.

Spain tells the British to get their navy away from the Spanish shores. Spain for security reasons moves its army close to the shore (out of the ships range were they to come closer).

Denmark promises not to claim anymore land in North America without consulting with Britain and France. Denmark invites delegates from Russia, France and Britain to discuss best how to split up the territory.

German, Austrian and Italian traders start using the steamboat. However, their navies don't want to give up firepower for maneuverability.

Scandinavia accepts the mutual protection between it and the Russians. Sweden now builds up its army and plans to bring its navy back to its former glory (which won't take long considering that Sweden just has to build a few ships).

The Continental Alliance is meeting to see what to do about Poland. Austria and Germany have already sent some troops to "keep order". German and Austrian business men are hiring Poles for cheap labor.

Austria and the Italian states work out a deal, annexing the Italian states to Austria. The Italian government officials seem very happy about this (the people they represent no so much). Austria takes advantage of the lack of a Pope to broker a deal with the church, in which Austria becomes the churches guard. In other words, all of Italy is now under direct Austrian control.

The cardinals convene in Italy. The Italian cardinals keep up with tradition and vote for their own candidate, Narni. Austrian cardinals vote for the French candidate surprisingly (or not) enough. The German cardinal votes for the French one as well. The Spanish cardinal votes for the British candidate. Tally: 5 for the Italian, 3 for the French and 1 for the Brit. France and Britain have yet to cast their votes.

Britain casts it vote for itself and asks Germany to move its vote to Britain.

Germany tells that the cardinals at this point are behind closed doors and can't change the outcomes/votes.

Russia warns Britain of their unchecked ambition, and places a high tariff on all trade from non CA members due to high costs of building the trading ports.

France votes for itself and asks britainto do so.

The French candidate henceforth gets the most votes.

Britain try's to bride Italy's cardinals (will roll in the OOC)

The Italian cardinals cannot do anything now that they've voted. France gets the next Pope (I trust Frenchie to notify us when the Pope dies).

Britain tell Russians that if they want to pick a fight they are doing a good job now none of the country's in the LOUN will trade with them. Except Portugal. ( frenchie and naruto both told me they did agree to this) Britain. Asks Portugal to o leave the CA now if before things get bloody with the CA and Britain.

The French Pope condemns Spain for its hateful actions towards Moroccan natives, and excommunicates them.

France asks Spain to give the Moroccans back their lands or else.
