Poland surrenders. Sweden signs a treaty with them giving it the Baltic region. Prussia signs a treaty with them giving them Pomeria.

In Nuremburg, the German states are meeting to discuss potential unification. After a month of negotiating Austria quit the meeting. 

Spain is still in a huge mess. People have gotten angry enough at their king to start a revolt. Unfortunately for the Bourbon king, his guards hate him too. Across the countryside nobles are being dragged out of their houses to either be killed or exiled from Spain. 

The Ottoman people in the Middle East are also mad at the Ottoman Empire for attempting to convert them to Christianity. Predictably a few missionaries have been killed.

Largely out of the European loop, the Teotihuacan Conference makes no small headway. It's generally agreed that the nation cannot be governed in the hyperliberal manner wanted by most of the radicals, but by the same token there is certainly no going back to a totalitarian monarchy as wanted by most of the landowning whites. Foundations are being laid for a new form of government as the influential Inigo Vasterez, owner of more than a few silver mines, recalls his Classical education and the ancient Athenian government of democracy.

The Ottomans accept France offer, and orders that those involved with killing of the missionary's be imprisened and and held to the same law as if it where a Muslim killing a Muslim, the Ottomans also pay compincation to the family's of the missionary's as well as sends out a message asking the citizens to please treat the missionary's with respect

Britian try's to claim all of Australia as well as sending a letter to the empires of japan asking for trade rights.

The Conference of Teotihuacan comes out forming a rough sketch of a democratic government. The plans are in place for individual provinces of Aztlan to elect officials to the Council. From within this Council would be elected the head, the Hegemon. In this way each person in each province would have a say in Aztec affairs. Vasterez serves as the First Hegemon and sets about repairing the nation from its destructive birth and civil war, setting up government infrastructure. One of the first things the Hegemon does, with no Council to dampen his decisions, is to draft the Concordat; a document detailing most of the things agreed upon in the Teotihuacan Conference, with a few of his own personal modifications. One of these things is the ban on official religions for the nation; the Spanish Inquisition left an extremely bad taste behind after the Secession War.

Vasterez's next action is to send representatives to each of the three primary naval powers in the Western Atlantic; Britain, France and Spain. He promises trade agreements of luxuries such as salt and precious metals to whomever will offer their navies to protect Aztec ports from pirates.

Britian is the first to answer the Aztec call saying it will send a fleet to portect it's allies if it will trade with Britian alone and it also reminds the Aztec that Britian is the reason that it has the land it does without fight for it as much and would be most humble if it would pick then.

Also Britian start a new training program for its troops to drastically improve there army and navy.

The Aztecs aren't terribly pleased with the prospect of trading with Britain and Britain alone, but at the same time monopolized trade is better than no trade at all. They wait to send their response until they have answers from France and possibly Spain, citing the piracy issue as delaying their ambassador from responding.

France & Spain answers the call, and says that it will protect the Aztec's ports until a sufficient Navy has been formed. France & Spain do not have any restrictions on trade however, and wish for everyone to have a fair shake with this new government.
