Pidgeotto couldn't get down close enough to see what it was, but it was surrounded by a scaffold-like structure, apparently.

Eric takes piggyoto as far as he could go and once he couldn't get any further Eric climbed of and began to climb through the structure

As far as Eric could go meant the net, which encompassed virtually all of the cavern.

Dawn tapped her foot at the hole's edge, annoyed. She really wanted these people to leave.

Desmond looked down the hole. "What's with Serena?"

Didn't work; the cables were too thick and the lighting was too bad. The general impression was as before; an immense, torpedo-shaped object with fins on.

"It looks like a orpedo-shaped object with fins on it other then that I can't see anything" Eric reaches into his belt and releases Torchic "A little light please" The little pokemon shot an ember into the passage giving the whole space light

The Ember vanished...the space was so fast that it swallowed up the light. Eric did see tubular projections in addition to the fins, however.

"Can you guys hurry up and get out of here?" Dawn called down into the hole.
