Re: C&CIII OOC 2
Right, info about Greece:
Greece has been under the Ottoman heel for a very long time indeed. The need to rebel isn't really amongst the Greeks so much, but it could be revitalized. Greece is a poor country, where the Ottomans have slowly taken from the Greeks, but never returned their own wealth. Good luck rebelling...

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
C&C Monthly Update:
Please bear in mind before reading this, that I am extremely tired and will probably forget stuff.
In General: Players can now play two country's at once, provided that the two countries aren't adjacent, and that no metagaming is going to happen. Or at least not much… be warned! If I do think there is a lot of metagaming I will not hesitate to…create difficulties.
Also another announcement: Helsing joined as pirates, Mycro choose his second country China, Blind the Tatars and Lupin is revolting as Greece.
Final Announcement: Physical maps finished. I have linked them to each other and a document where you can type generic questions so that I can answer during my "work-day".
Africa: In the southern reaches as well as the central parts, due to a Danish developed vaccine Europeans are able to push into the interior. In the German held portion, Congolese diamonds sound very attractive. That said, It will take a long time to spread land inwards.
To the North, trouble with North African pirates who capture and enslave merchant vessels in the Med are proving to be trouble. Aztlan and Russia are in particular focused on Tripoli, but there are many Pirate ports who flourish under the Ottoman Law prohibiting the government to try for crimes committed internationally.
Antarctica: Think of the coldest day in winter. That is how it is in the Penguin kingdom every day (or worse).
Asia: [Mycro claims China, Blind the Tatars] In the Middle East everything is the same old. Arabs are a little against Ottoman rule, but the Ottoman government isn't overly strong. In Central Asia however, Tatars are killing Persians and Russians alike (and sometimes others…by accident). Russians have tried to combat this leading to a see-saw effect. Persia doesn't care/doesn't have the resources. In the East, China is trying to unify itself, but Europeans don't look too favorably on it.
Australia: Australia is becoming a quite important Japanese colony. It has a strong population and is also somewhat industrialized. They are very loyal to their Shogun. In New Zealand, the British are slowly settling their colony again after the war.
Europe: [Sirius wants to revolt as Greece...] In western Europe, there is a revolution in France. Britain and France seem to be getting along well despite the recent war. In the other reaches of Europe, it is flourishing economically, politically and culturally. Train networks are developing in Scandinavia, Denmark and Britain. France has also started investing in trains, but the recent revolutionary upheaval is halting the effort.
N. America: American settlers are moving into the midwest, happily settling the territories. To their pleasure they find that the northern midwest states are wuite furtive and they being plowing up the land. The French with their new Canadian territory enjoy a large lumbering industry. They do a lot of fishing, something the Danes to their north also do quite a lot off.
S. America: The USA is becoming an industrial power. However, like Aztlan it still needs to go some ways before catching up to Europe. Its problem isn't labor as much as it is getting foreign investors. Germany with excess cash and Scandinavia also very rich are very interested.

There will definitely be some blood-gushing. But that is what fuels anger...

Rolling to:
1) See if the revolutionaries will make it to safety (d12: 1=complete slaughter, 2-6=heavy casualties but manage, 7-9=moderate casualties but manage, 10-11=Manage with light casualties, 12=the soldiers must've been trained by the stormtroopers from Star Wars)
2) Attack the tribes who support the Tartars.

Since Blind is the Tatars, let us just assume there is fighting that leads nowhere until he returns on Sunday (?).

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
I was attacking one of the tribes who support the Tartars, not the Tartars themselves.
Should have done this earlier, but rolling to free serfs on the journey to a mountain in Attica and to rally some Greeks to the Revolutionaries' Cause.

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
For the first roll, I say wait for Blind to get back on Sunday.
For the second roll, it looks to me like the Greeks are inspiring people to join the cause, but most Greeks would rather have a life of normalcy/don't want to tick off the Ottomans.

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
Well, there is one more region in the world to split up: Polynesia. Since these are smaller islands, I am just going to arbitrarily assign them countries (countries with colonies/shipping in the region will more than likely get them.)
Austria: Palau and Micronesia
Japan: Northern Mariana, Guam, and New Caledonia
Britain: Solomon's, Nauru, Navautu, Tuvalu, Wallis Island
France: Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands
Scandinavia: Marshall Islands, Kiribati (They already own the Easter Islands and Galapagos)
Germany: French Polynesia, Tokelau
Russia: Midway Isles

The fleet is currently by the side of the Atzlan fleet in the southern Mediterranean.

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
The Aztec fleet is in turn blockading Tunis, Algiers, Tripoli and any other large port cities known to be harboring pirates.
Re: C&CIII OOC 2
OK. Noted.
By the way, are the ads on the forum just getting more annoying or is it just me?
