Re: C&CIII OOC 2
Could we have a new map update?
And what could I do to help with the crash?
And what about those new type of ships? You can google them if you want.

Map update: complete (I think)
As to the ships and other stuff you guys want to research send the link to me [via PM]. I will then evaluate of these inventions are reasonable with out time era.
Now to the fun part: Economics. In the 1700's, the predominant economic system was to evaluate a nations wealth by the amount of gold in the king/queen's coffer. To get there the idea was to raise tariffs to increase local production of goods so that those goods could be sold to another nation generating wealth for the country itself. By making money of other nations the kings coffer could fill up (by taxing usually the poor or merchant classes).
Adam Smith challenged this idea in the wealth of nations stating instead that the amount that a nation produces is its wealth. This economic system focuses more on production as opposed to actually obtaining cash. Smith's idea of wealth is still used today (we evaluate a country's wealth with GDP) and this is why when we say that a nation has a X trillion dollar debt, it isn't too bad if the nation's GDP is high.
Long story short: if Britain is like most nations (following the mercantile system [first one]) then raising your tariffs to promote internal production will be the way to go. On the other hand if you decide to follow Smith's view then you should focus on creating jobs and encouraging businesses (by giving them tax cuts and such things).
One thing to keep in mind with economics: economists have been right on economic issues despite arguing for opposite economic ideas. Essentially there is no one solution.

Of course. They will probably reduce the price if you offer them a trade deal or an alliance...

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
Can I make triffs higher and make more jobs but just not up the taxes so the people would remain happy? Because if so then that's what I will do.

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
To Gaara: Yes you could point that out, but in any case France hasn't signed a peace treaty with the Ottomans and thus hasn't recognized their land grab.
Also the first page of this OOC and Role-play now have updated player country information [yes I finally updated it]. Also the diplomacy chart should be updated.

Thank You. Perhaps he hasn't had time, but Austria does kind of play a crucial role.

And can you guys at least help Belgiam France attack them when they arnt even in the war.
Rolling to start a revolt in France.(because of the depression) and again to have the French people like the British.(if I can even do this) then a third time for spying on the Netherlands (to try and help them not hurt them so if my spy's get cought I only doing this because I don't want Germany to know and they wouldn't even if they where cought)
1:revolt in France
2:for the people in France to like Britain
3:for helping Netherlands

Re: C&CIII OOC 2
Wouldn't the French troops be weak as hell invading Belgiam as they wouldn't be well cared for?
And I would think their army and their citizen would want Britain to win so they would stop the blocDe so why wouldn't they revolt?
