"Well it doesn't hurt to be prepared." Eric says as he noticed something. "There they are." He says as he pulled out a blue pouch and opened it up. Inside the pouch were twelve Oran Berries. "Alright there should be enough for all of us to have two. Take two and good luck."

Once the group had headed off to the Gym and collected their Berries, they noticed it was full of Trainers battling each other - presumably the challengers and the Gym members. Closest to the door was a Trainer about their age, doing something on his Pokédex. He had six Poké Balls on his belt, but they weren't normal ones - they were teal where they should have been red, with a crisscrossing black pattern over that.

"Is he one of the Gym members? Should we challenge him?" Serena wondered aloud.

"I'll be right back." Jonn strides over to the trainer. "2 things, 1, I challenge you to a battle, and 2 whre did you get those pokeballs? aren't they supposed to be bright red and not blue?"

"I bought them, they're Net Balls, since I specialize in Bug-type Pokémon." He put his Pokédex away. "Alright, might as well battle..." He selected a Poké Ball from his belt.

Jonn gulps but Koro is still brimming with adorable naivety. "Well Koro we got ourselves into this one, let's try out rapid spin."

Koro, spinning like a squishy orange shuriken, shot at the Vivillon but the butterfly Pokémon just flew over the attack. The Trainer watched the attack miss, looking back and forth between Jonn and Koro, before addressing his Vivillon. "Aeris, use Bug Buzz." Aeris' wings fluttered at an incredibly rapid speed, firing red sound waves at Koro with a low droning noise. The Stellarina was promptly thrown back into Jonn.

Eric called Crimson back before the sonic attack started and covered his ears when it did.

"I hate that stupid attack!" Eric growls as he watched the attack do its damage.
