Erik nods his head slowly and looks at the general. "General, what if we place the dwellers in the house with...Codsworth, right? That way they won't be taking anyone's bed and can give us any resources in that house."

[A Blind Guy]

"That's a good idea Evermore, bring two beds from the barracks, stat." Akira turns to Norah.

"I know this is a harrowing time for you, and you have my condolences, I promise we won't lay a finger on this house, family is important." She says, her voice straining at the last part of the sentence.

[Flagmauth]

The analytical part of Nora made note of that. But for now there were slightly more important things to worry about. "Can you untie us, then?"

"As long as the robot doesn't attack me." Erik went behind the female dweller and began to untie her. Once he was done, he went to the male and did the same.

[A Blind Guy]

"The binds were mainly for show, given the fish out of water both of you had when you let the vault, I had a feeling you wouldn't harm anybody, now if the three of you would follow me, we have matters to discuss." Akira says, heading back to her quarters.

[Flagmauth]

"I'll be back in a bit, Codsworth." Nora said, following.

[Helsing]

Clarence rubbed his sore wrists and wordlessly followed everyone.

Erik follows behind the general without question.

[A Blind Guy]

Akira leads the group to the main bulding, two armed guards stand at attention as she approaches the doorway.

"At ease, I'm just going to ask them a few questions." She says, as the two soldiers relax their stance. Akira opens the door and motions them to come inside, inside being little more than a barracks, with a staircase leading up to the next floor on the right side of the building.
"I hope you don't mind the clutter, I wasn't expecting to have company." Akira says, kicking a loose hat underneath one of the beds that line the floor. She walks over to the staircase, "My quarters are on the 3rd floor, please follow me. "

Erik follows behind the dwellers as they continue following the general up to the third floor.

[A Blind Guy]

Akira opens the door to the office, ushering the three inside and closing the door. "Welcome to my quarters." her quarters were in fact a standard issue army cot, on one side of the room, and on the other side, a desk stacked high with papers and maps, and in front of the desk were two chairs.

"please take a seat, Evermore, guard the door, we can't have any disturbances." She says, walking behind her desk. "I think I've asked the two of you enough questions for one afternoon, so I think it's my turn to answer, if you want to ask anything, fire away. "

[Flagmauth]

"What..." Nora's voice caught in her throat - she just couldn't believe all this had happened. She tried again, though, "What exactly...happened since the bombs fell?"

[A Blind Guy]

"you're, going to be a bit more specific than that, I don't exactly have a history book with me."

[Flagmauth]

"You said...something about some group called the Minutemen?"

[A Blind Guy]

"Ah yes, the Minutemen, the last defense of the Commonwealth. we are a group of soldiers dedicated to assisting those in dire straights around here. We clear out raiders, ghouls, and anything else the Wasteland can throw our way. We are dedicated to protecting those who cannot protect themselves."

[Flagmauth]

"Ghouls? What are those?"

[A Blind Guy]

"Ghouls are... like us but, they've been infected with radiation. Most ghouls are kind and decent folk who just want to survive like everyone else. It's the ferals you have to worry about. Their brains have been damaged so much from radiation that their only drive is to... kill everything in their path. " As Akira explains, her voice becomes strained and she shakes her head, as if to shake off the pain of a memory.

[Helsing]

"...Holy shit."

[Flagmauth]

Nora made note of that. Akira clearly didn't like talking about ghouls - some sort of pain there. Analyzing people like this was good - it took her mind off her own problems. "So you said something about the Commonwealth? You mean the government survived?"

[A Blind Guy]

"No, there is no form of government in the Commonwealth. No law, justice system, or legal structure. Which is why the Minutemen are here, to step up and create something akin to a society. The closest we have to a governing body is Diamond City south of us, but they don't care about the folks out here."

[Flagmauth]

"Diamond City?" South of here was Boston...which by all rights should be a giant smoking crater, from what Nora understood of how nuclear weapons worked. She'd never heard of anywhere called Diamond City.

[A Blind Guy]

"Yep, the crown jewel of the commonwealth." Akira spreads her hands outward while saying that, "It's a nice place, decent folk, the mayor is a bit of an ass though."

[Flagmauth]

"South of here is downtown Boston...how did that survive the bomb?" That had to be answered. For God's sake, she'd seen it go off!

[A Blind Guy]

"Well, the bomb didn't hit this "Downtown Boston" part, it missed and detonated southwest of it. That area is still more radiated than a ghoul's bunghole and we can't go anywhere near it. WE call that place, the glowing sea."

[Helsing]

"I'm guessing that's exactly what it sounds like." Clarence comments "I'm imagining a huge lake of pure radiation. I'm I close?"
