Krista noted that Arcane Vienna wasn't that dissimilar from a city in the normal world, all things considered. Well, if you left out the flying carpet salesman. She went for the electronics store, wondering if that would be any different.

Oddyseus and Raizu found themselves confronted by the book-store salesman, a roughly 40 year old man, studying them "Hmm. You're from the academy, aren't you? I would remember if I'd seen you before so I'm going to assume this is your first time. In that case I have some great offers. Your first mission will 85% of the time be in the Balkan region so I have personally written the 'Idiots Guide to Balkan Monsters'. Perhaps you're more interested in Vienna? Rest assured..."
The book salesman cycled effortlessly through a number of book titles before realizing he was rambling "Oh, apologies. I just get excited by the prospect of new customers."

The electronics store resembled a real-world electronics store from the outside. However the items stocked were labeled with different brands (AW brands) and the store was decorated in soccer fan gear. The owner herself was glued to a France vs England game on a big plasma TV, dressed in the colors of the HRE. Her desk had been crammed with electronics components, which she'd been assembling into a small hand-size robot. Several of these robots (although they looked more like figurines) were running around the store moving around the smaller electronics components, climbing shelves and cleaning the fish tank from the outside. The owner spotted Krista approach "Shouldn't you be at home watching this [soccer game]? My money is on France this season. Did you need anything by the way?"

Emma meanwhile took Cayden to the weapon-shop. The interior of the store had an assortment of weapons such as bows, swords, spears, guns and protective gear. Near the melee weapons was a mat on the floor, allowing customers to practice using their weapons. Like the electronics store owner, the weapons salesman was watching the quarterfinals. He was dressed up in the white and red colors of England, drinking a bottle of beer and at the moment of Emma's entry face-palming "That was definitely NOT a foul! Did you see that?"
"You did see that right? That French player should be at Hollywood, the way he faked that foul! Bunch of crybabies." he said, as he spotted Emma and Cayden "What can I help you with today? You want a beer?"

Jaron found himself going to the electronics store behind Krista. He went straight to the part of the store that sold communication's equipment and began looking through.

"Just browsing..." was what Krista would have said, had she not been entranced by the tiny automatons rushing about. She watched one dash past her before realizing that the shopkeeper had spoken to her. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. What was that?"

Cayden looks around the weapons sho in awe. He seen only pictures of these weapons from medival to edo japan. He looks over at the shop owner yelling at the tv about some game he wasn't sure what. "Um...yes. what type of weapon would you recommend for a beginner like myself?"

The shopowner studied Cayden and then shrugged "Depends on your use for the weapon. If you want to be able to defend yourself, perhaps a gun might be what you need. Otherwise, if you are trying to slay monsters, oftentimes bullets won't work. Then I'd either go for a bow or sword. For instance this sword would be just right for your build."

She introduced herself as Amelia, the electronics store keeper, having noticed Krista's interest in the automatons "So, you're just browsing then I take it? Or perhaps you enjoy watching soccer on a large plasma screen."
Jaron meanwhile a little further away from the noisy TV was able to find the communications equipment. As expected, the AW had a similar array of phones up for selection, except of course different brands. Some Amelia had clearly messed around with, adding solar panels to the back of one of the phones, whilst adding feet to another.

The book-keeper looked almost offended by Odysseus's question, explaining he had the best selection of books in Vienna. Of course he reassured Raizo that there was a huge array of books about East Asian monsters. He introduced himself as Richard before leading them inside his bookstore, which was really more of a windowless enclosure containing massive shelves lined with books. None of them seemed to be in any particular order.
Richard led the group deep into the bookstore to the "monsters" section. He pulled out a book titled "Monsters in Tibet" and explained how he had books concerning particular regions of Asia while others tried to generalize monsters of Asia. Richard didn't seem to notice as three shady looking men entered the store. One of them before entering flipped the "open" sign to "closed".

Raizo was reading about the different monsters from Tibet but saw them come in out of the corner of his eye.

"I think you have some customers." He says in a lowered voice.

Richard glanced up at the men briefly. If he noticed anything threatening about the men, he didn't show it "They can wait. I'm curious what you think of this book. I find that book has very neat hand-drawn diagrams of the monsters. Oh, and there's another book you should see - this way!"

Richard led the Raizo and Odysseus away from the men, fiddled with his watch, and whispered to his followers "There's a back exit"

The men slowly drew nearer. One of them had pulled out a sword and was chuckling "Richard, how could you betray your favorite customers?"

Jaron spotted a few devices that, with a little tinkering, could be used for secure communications later. He looked around and noticed that the weapons store sign had been turned to Closed.

That was more than a little suspicious.

Jaron went up to the store and stepped to the side, getting as close as he could to the door so he could hear.

"I have no idea. Maybe they're gangsters wanting to get 'protection' money." Odysseus whispers back to Raizo as he follows Raizo to the exit.

"What do these men want?" Odysseus was thinking, not coming up with a plausible idea. Whoever they were, he did not want to interfere with their business just yet.

One of the men (the leader) motioned with his hand releasing a big gust of air to knock down the bookshelves in front of Raizo and Odysseus, effectively sealing the exit off "I'm afraid that there can be no witnesses."

One of the other men approached a pale Richard, sword drawn.

Raizo's eyes darted back and forth, the only exits were blocked and an innocent shop owner was going to die. Without much thought, he knew what he needed to do. Raizo thrusts his hand out and sends a beam of light directly into the sword wielding man's eyes.

Thinking fast, Odysseus stretched out his hand and shot a burst of water at the other two men, making sure to keep his blast out of the path of Raizo's light. He hoped he could at least send them through one of the windows.

Despite the incredible technology on display, Krista noted Jaron's odd behavior followed by the Closed sign and frowned, curious. She excused herself from the electronics store and approached the Israeli soldier. "What's going on?"

The man with the sword was momentarily blinded and missed skewing Richard into two pieces. He then dropped his sword and was clutching his eyes. Richard took the opportunity to scramble towards the back exit, frantically trying to clear the obstruction in front of the exit.

Odysseus's water managed to knock back the other man into a bookshelf. He too drew his sword enraged. The leader meanwhile chuckled as he made a quick circular motion. In front of him a shield appeared to deflect the water. The water fell on the wooden floor, potentially as a slippery surface. Having deflected the initial attack, the leader thrust out his hands, knocking back Richard's attacker, Raizo and Odysseus. The attacker landed close to Odysseus, without a sword.

Odysseus jumps up, and walks a few feet forward.

He imagined what remained of his water blast on the floor rise up and engulf the attacker's feet, rendering him immobile.

The leader's feet were grabbed by the water, himself held to the floor. Then he saw the fire-bolt hurl towards him. He commanded the air to push him out of harms way, toward the front entrance, narrowly avoiding the fire-bolt. He figured that he didn't have long before help arrived. He pulled out two daggers and used the air to accelerate them towards his targets. One hit Richard in the leg, forcing him on the ground to clutch it. The other one flew straight at Kaizo.

The man who'd crashed into the bookshelf was behind the leader. The bolt almost struck him, hitting the shelf on "healthy living" with an audible crack. The books started to burn. The man dropped his sword and started running for the exit.

It didn't take long for sprinklers and alarm to activate.

Upon seeing the books starting to burn, Odysseus had a dilemma: let his attacker go, but save precious the knowledge of healthy living, or redirect the sprinklers to capture the attacker, but let the books burn.

After a quick decision, he decided to redirect the water of all the sprinklers to quench the fire on the burning books, figuring it was best to save the knowledge in those books. And this man's business.

He turns to the shopkeeper while doing this and asks, "Who are these guys?"

Jaron was going to answer, but then the books began to burn. All pretense of caution went out the window as Jaron slammed his shoulder into the door, trying to force his way into the store.

Odysseus manages to put the fire out completely, although the books don't look healthy anymore. As the fire was put out, Richard looked visibly relieved. He then lied in response to Odysseus "no, I don't know who they are."

The leader pulled out another dagger, when the door broke down on his side and Jaron came tumbling in. He couldn't risk fighting three demigods, regardless of their training. He ran towards the front exit and pushed Jaron to the side to make his way clear.
