Re: Fate/Excision
the sound of a pen furiously scribbling on a notepad.
"Ok, well we should get the summoning done as soon as we can."

"Of course." El-Melloi II agreed. "You will also want to choose your four other teammates carefully."

"Contract killers would be more effective. And yes." said the professor with a nod, as he produced a rather swollen folder and set it on the table in front of the two ex-students. "I do. You will want to start with these. I trust your judgment as to whether or not you believe them fit for combat, willing to work with you as a team...and unlikely to betray you for the promise of any wish they like."
Re: Fate/Excision
Sigyn glanced at the file, going through a few names before frowning at the Clocktower Lord.
"...Troy Forthill, really?"

Re: Fate/Excision
"Troy Forthill, whom I was unaware Sigyn had previously heard of. He's a freelance magus from Atlanta in the US who runs a shipping business - which is how I happened to get these catalysts in the first place."
Re: Fate/Excision
Joseph wasn't paying attention to the conversation at the moment. His fascination was directed towards the artifacts inside. A few looking crude and almost of no value but it intrigues him to wanting to know the secrets they hold.

"Well we should look into bringing him aboard, and these other people on the list seem like useful partners as well."

Re: Fate/Excision
"Good. Seems like things are already coming along nicely then." The professor said as he watched Joseph browsing the collection of artifacts. "Any of those take your fancy, Johnston?"
Re: Fate/Excision
"Hmm? Oh yes. This one actually," Joseph held up gingerly what appears to be a gaunlet, slowly turning and watch the light move across it.

Re: Fate/Excision
"An interesting one indeed. That is from the site of what's believed to be a battlefield in southern England, more or less 1500 years old." The craftsmanship of it was spectacular, even though it wore the rust and tarnish of its age it was still solid. The back of the gauntlet was heavily armored in particular, a segmented plate studded with metal spikes dominating it. Clearly designed for either intimidation, or for delivering particularly brutal strikes with a mailed fist. Or both!
Re: Fate/Excision
"I would believe more on the intimidation tactic rather than a viable weapon, but it is indeed a fascinating relic."

"Mr. Forthill is nothing if not consistent with the quality of his craft," Sigyn commented through near gritted teeth.

Takeshi looks over the artifacts and the mask catches his eye. "The japanese mask looks interesting."

Re: Fate/Excision
The mask was porcelain, and formed in such a way as to almost resemble a domino mask worn by superheroes, flush against the skin and covering mostly the area around the eyes. Notches and grooves along the sides seemed to indicate it should interlock with other things around it...and curiously, more of them studded the inner surface of the object, where they would no doubt poke against the wearers skin.
"I recommend you bring your thoughts on Forthill to Zarados attention, Sigyn. For now, though, do the three of you have any further questions?"

Re: Fate/Excision
Sigyn shook her head and took hold of the Forthil file once more.
"Troy Forthill... I've never met the man in person, but his reputation certainly precedes him. He's had dealings with the former Mr Hildebrand that gave said magus the ability to make homunculi on the level of Einzbern's, if not better in my case. Getting such information and materials is concerning, to say the least, and anyone willing to deal with Mr Hildebrand even more so."

"Regardless of which ones you approach first, you should move quickly. The Grail usually selects its own Masters. If you aren't careful, it may make the decision for you."

Takeshi looks over the list of potential recruits " Well I think we should start with the closest ones and move out from there, interviewing and making our decisions as we go along."
