The chunk of pavement slammed into Derek with the force of an onrushing car, flooring him and landing on his leg with an audible CRACK! of breaking bone.

Curt both seeing the leg breaking and hearing it confirmed that Derek needed some help. Curt loaded a round into his firing chamber and aimed at the flaming tank. (Rolling)

The shot hit the tank's other foot and Curt growled before throwing a rock out the window without aiming and the rock hit the tank in the head. "Oh, now I hit something. Why can't I shoot anything but I can throw things?" Curt thought to himself anger lay as he watches the tank. Unsure what to do.

The shot and the rock both distracted the Tank, sending it climbing up the wall before bursting through the window, bulldozing furniture out of the way as it bore down on Curt.

Curt saw the tank come up to the window before running to the stair well with a grappling hook attached to a bungee cord. The building had a staircase that was open in the middle so Curt jumped letting two floors pass him before hooking the next hand rail and at the last floor he grabbed a concrete weight and a nearby knife to cut himself away from the taunt bungee cord. When he does, he falls hard onto the concrete block which knocked the air out of him. He tries to get up(rolling).

But Curt couldn't and he knew that the tank would try jumping as well so he tried to crawl away from the landing and into the lobby of the empty building, gun and knife in hand as he went.

The Tank barreled through the wall and came down right where Curt had landed, shaking the ground beneath its immense weight. The dull creature looked around, having lost track of Curt, but given the circumstances it was only a matter of time...

Curt looks over to Derek from a central planter in the lobby of the building and sees the attempt of moving the concrete off his leg. Then sensing the tank and hearing the thud of it hitting the ground, Curt froze and tried to look dead if he was visible to the tank.

The Tank turned just in time to miss seeing Curt crawl into the planter, and continued on its search, grunting loudly.

"Oh crud, the tank is nearby and if I move he will attack. But how can I get out without the tank spotting me?" Curt thought to himself as he looked outside for a shred of hope.

Curt just barely made out Derek's call for Francis but the tank was way too close for Curt to be any help.

Francis, by all appearances, was nowhere to be found. The Tank, hearing Derek call out, stomped towards him, growling.

Curt hears the tank walking towards the planter and one of its feet land fight in front of Curt's nose and he had it stifle a yelp of surprise. He still retracts out of the tank's path to not get stepped on.

The Tank barreled towards the pinned Survivor, a great flaming engine of destruction roaring like the end of the world...

...before it collapsed, the fire eating away at its body having destroyed enough muscle to render it incapable of using its legs. It still attempted to drag itself forward using its massive arms, ramming its hands into the concrete and pulling itself to its prey before that failed as well.

The air filled with the pork-like scent of burning flesh as the Tank's funeral pyre crackled merrily a few short feet from Derek. No Infected are nearby, for the moment at least.
