"Only two of us trusted him, me and a black Lucario. That same Lucario is with us every day." Riolu says as it's eyes were slightly glazed over like when somebody was reminiscing of the past. "Riley couldn't even walk a single step without falling the first week of his training." Riolu says in a tone that made it kind of funny when compared to the Riley now.

Serena took a small step away from the Riolu.

May, who had been left out of this exchange, sighed. "I'm still not sure I believe you, but fine. I'll take you to Vermilion City, so long as you pay the usual fee."

"Hey, that is really rude you know!" Riolu yells at Serena before Riley whistled. When Riolu turned to face Riley, Riley was pointing to the orb in Jack's hand. "Oh right. Listen Jack, that orb in your hand, we need it back." Riolu says as it walks over to Jack with an outstreched paw. "Now please." Riolu said with a hint of threat in his voice.

Jack does the same and pulls out the 150 from the downed pi grunt, he then takes 50 (currency) from his wallet.

"Is there any cost for talking Pokemon?" Riley asked as he pulled out a concerning large amount of currency and pulls 200 out of the bundle. He then put the bundle away.

"Bet there isn't since humans thought that all Pokemon were mute idiots. Oh and for the record, um May was it? Well there are no yellow Magicarp that haven't been collected by bounty hunters, I think." Riolu says as it puts the orb back into Riley's bag and pulling out an apple before starting to eat said apple. "You can still look for one but let me know when you find one."

"Sorry about Riolu trying to kill you. He vowed that he wouldn't return home until the guy that left me to die was dead." Riley says to Jack but he wasn't facing Jack but Jack could feel Riley's gaze on him.

Jack feels uneasy with Riley not looking at, but gazing at, him. "How did you end up in a mountain anyway?"

"A man left me up there without any way to get back to my family and the mountain Pokemon took me in. Though they treated me like an outsider." Riley says and Riolu walked into view.

"Yet he still trained with the aura masters, taking a bit of every trait of aura mastery. But he had something to teach us as well. That having will power makes your aura stronger, Riley showed us that by diverting an avalanche away from the village after taking a foolish bet. Of course the village was evacuated before Riley diverted the avalanche but he wanted to protect his home and to become one of us in heart. The bet he took got him in and gave him a high ranking seat in the council, kicking out the Lucario that thought that Riley was a threat. But that same Lucario had started that avalanche on purpose to kill Riley. Boy did that backfire. Riley was given a blindfold that gave him our sight, but it's just a symbol not the real thing. Show them Riley." Riolu says as he shines a light on Riley's past. "Oh and yes the Lucario that Riley had kicked out of the pack was the aura sphere master so he isn't as strong in that area." Riolu said before Riley pulled out a blue blindfold and put it on and it had Lucario eyes painted on the outside making it seem that Riley was looking through Lucario eyes.

"I know, I look ridicules." Riley groaned as he reached for the knot that held the blindfold on, but Riley didn't look too bad.
[Try to convince Riley to keep it on.]

Desmond frowned. "It doesn't look that bad..."

Serena was overcome by a coughing fit and had to turn away, while May just shook her head and said nothing. "I'll go get the boat ready."

Riolu walked into Serena's view with an angry look on his face.

"That blindfold is a symbol of trust and becoming one of the pack. It is never a joke for you humans to laugh at." Riolu said with such venom and anger that was surprising hearing it come from a little Pokemon.

Seeing Riolu continuing to glare at her, Serena said indignantly, "Well, it does look silly to me! I'm entitled to my own opinion you know!"

"Riolu, it isn't a tradition everywhere. Try and learn that okay?" Riley asked as he pulled off the blindfold showing sad white eyes and they had a hint of disappointment in them.
