"I watch what the driver is doing, even when I am asleep, I learn how to survive in my surroundings." Riley says as he brushes off Serena's hand. He then glared at her, his white eyes make anyone who was looking into them feel lost in a blinding blizzard and a slight chill runs down their spine. "You have to take it on yourself to learn your surroundings. Or get out of the way of those who know what to do."

Serena wasn't fazed by the glare. "You can't learn everything just by watching. My dad is the Petalburg Gym Leader. If I learned how to battle like him just by watching, I wouldn't be here now, I'd be in Ever Grande City competing in the Pokémon League. And probably winning. It's not as simple as just watching and repeating, you have to know why things work." She folded her arms. "And hitting her on the head was completely uncalled for."

"It works with me and aura sight." Riley says as Riolu came out of its Pokeball and looked at both Riley and Serena. Riley walked away and Riolu looked confused.

"What happened between you two?" Riolu asked as he watched Serena, wanting an update on what happened. "Who's toes did Riley stomp on this time?"

"He was being a jerk to November." Serena said, glaring after Riley.

"How so? Humans can be jerks without any knowledge of doing so." Riolu says as it jumped onto her shoulder, the little Pokemon was surprisingly light when compared to when it sat on Riley's shoulder. "Yet with Riley, he wasn't taught to be human, he was taught to survive along side a tribe of Lucarios and Riolus. He never really got to be with other humans and he seems to always prefer us than humans." Riolu says as Riley walked into a nearby shop. "He always treated every emotion as a threat unless he got something out of it. Positively or negatively, it didn't matter."

"Hmmph." Serena still looked angry. "That's no excuse; he slapped her and told her off for not knowing how to operate a boat."

Riolu laughed before saying. "No Riley is more like a ninja than a god. Our training regimen is the cause of that." The little Pokemon looked around the store Serena walked into since it was still riding on her shoulder.

The store seemed to be a fairly average Poké Mart. Merchandise lined the shelves, from food to tools to swimwear.

Riolu looked around and did some really impressive voice throwing tricks that made the pokemart staff go running around the store trying to figure out who was talking. They past by Riolu five times but they didn't think he could talk.
"Man I love doing this." Riolu whispered so only Serena could hear before going back to torturing the staff.

The little Pokemon honors the trainer's request as it falls backwards of Serena's shoulder before landing on its feet with a light thump. After a quick check of its surroundings it turned to Serena and said. "I'll hang around out here, riding on your shoulder is more fun than riding on Riley's shoulder."

Speaking of Riley, after buying a few healing items and managing to track down a few military surplus venders he grabs Leo's shoulder from behind him and signaled that it was too early to try and approach May. "She needs her time. Just give her a little bit longer."

"You beautiful enough to show off?" Riolu asked to where Serena was after making sure none of the staff were in earshot.

Riolu burst out laughing and falls off the shelf it was sitting on and yes it was the top shelf.

"Dang human Karma! It is a jerk to Pokemon too!" Riolu groans as it gets up stiffly.

Serena huffed, deciding that she'd been insulted. Somehow. It wasn't important now.

In the meantime, the group was now on the beach (some distance away May was shouting curse words at the boat) and Serena had gone to the trouble of picking up picnic equipment...umbrellas, towels and food included. She'd even purchased a beach ball.

And of course she and Desmond released their Pokémon to join in as well: Sealeo, Salom and Ursaring. And Desmond's six Bug-types he had on-hand: Beedrill, Heracross, Ninjask, Ariados, Kingler and Billowhip.

Riolu and Riley were talking before releasing a black Lucario with a white mask and red tips on its ears and tail.

"Greetings brother, how do you fair?" Riolu asked before the Lucario growled an Riolu smiled. "We found a quest already. I will let Riley explain." Riolu said before both Pokemon turned to Riley who which explained the mission pretty clearly until the Lucario barked threateningly casing Riley to stop talking and those who were in ear shot to jump.

"Did I do something wrong?" Riley asked nervously. The Lucario looked at the group with a distrusting glare. "But they have untainted auras!" Riley yelled before the Lucario pointed at Jack. "He can be trusted, I would let him join the pack-" the Lucario barked again before pointing at Riley's bag. "We already checked! Riolu say something!?!" Riley told Riolu before Riolu looked at the Lucario.

"His aura is tainted but what tainted it is still unknown. He is on my 'torture' list when the quest is finished." Riolu said before the black Lucario turned to Jack and closed its eyes. After a few tense seconds it nodded before Riley returned it to the Pokeball. Riley and Riolu let out a sigh of relief. "Too close, that was too close." Riolu says before looking at the ship. "I'll go check on May." It said before walking towards May.

"Sorry about that, Lucario isn't used to humans as Riolu is. I can't walk with Lucario without drawing attention to myself." Riley says as he turns to Jack. "What do you think tainted your aura?"
