Serena, hurt, turned and looked at Shadow-Fur. "What do you want me to do, run off ahead by myself?"

"Why you?" asks Jack, miffed.

"Because there might be a plunger ahead and we can't have you get stuck again." Rob replies.

jack grumbles but does as his brother says anyway.

Serena snorted at that remark. "Good thing you volunteered then, I don't want to get stuck either," she reminded him, referring to that same plunger incident. "Come on, let's go." She walked out, Salomight slinking along in beside her.

The group that had gone ahead reached a larger, circular room. Serena unsuccessfully tried to shield her eyes from the sheer amount of Aura that something in the center of the room was giving off. "What on earth is that?"

"Aura, and a lot of it." Riley's voice says as a phantom-like version of his aura appeared beside Serena. "Here, I'll try and tone the glare down." He says as a wall of his aura made a shadow that toned down the glare yet the wall had cracks all over it. "Uh oh, best make this visit fast. I'm already spread thin as it is."

"Okay,"

The source of the light seemed to be a cylindrical structure in the center of the room, laden with drawer-like racks that could be drawn out. Serena walked forward and pulled one of these out, sliding it to reveal tubes filled with...marbles?

No, they weren't marbles. Marbles didn't give off solar amounts of Aura. She plucked one of the tubes from the rack and held it out to Rob. "What are these?"

Desmond sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Finally. Guys, I found something."

"What you got?" Shadow-Fur asked as he turned to Desmond.

"Whatever they are, they are spitting out aura that is out of belief." Riley says before touching a marble with an aura hand and getting launched into the wall behind him hard. "Dang that hurt. But got a ton of aura. Feels different than regular aura, be careful with those things."

"Says here that PI is working on synthesizing something called 'Mega Stones,' which may or may not sound rather dirty."

Serena edged away from the marble-like objects. "So we probably shouldn't be here, huh?" Her gaze drifted across the room and she noticed a rack on the wall where numerous bracelets were placed, all mostly featureless black metallic rings. Curious, she took one of them off the wall and examined it more closely.

"Mega Stones? Do you have any idea of what those stones do?" Shadow Fur asked nervously.

"Don't know, just know that those marbles have a ton of power in them. Probably enough to unlock something more." Riley says as his aura spirit walked to Serena. "I had to diverge most of that blast into healing my body on the dock so I didn't get killed. Why would PI have these things?"

"I have absolutely, positively no clue." Desmond said, shrugging.

"Well...ton of power, potential for more...That sounds like what PI's been doing so far to me. They want power." Serena looked at the marbles. "We can't just leave these here, can we?" Abruptly, the metallic ring she had been holding expanded and jammed itself around her wrist, shrinking down to size. "What - hey! Get it off!"

"Hang on, I'll get help!" Riley says before he starts glowing and his lips start moving.

"Huh?" Shadow-Fur says as his face turns to one that is listening to something important. After a few seconds the Pokemon went ridged. "Serena is in trouble! Get as much data as you can Desmond. Jack, get ready to run."

"Help is on the way." Riley says as he stops glowing and grabs Serena's wrist. "Rob don't touch anything." Riley warns as he examines the ring. "How does it feel Serena? The ring?"

"Not...painful, exactly, but I can't get it off." In fact, she could barely feel its weight, either. Her Aura, which had gone brilliantly staticky from fear just moments ago, calmed to its usual hue as she decided it wasn't going to harm her. She looked up at Riley's Aura image. "I don't think it's dangerous."

"I don't know...It has to be something to do with those marbles, though..." Hesitantly, she removed one from the tube. No accompanying Aura flare hurled her against the wall. Interestingly, the bracelet and the marble immediately formed an Aura connection, a thin trail connecting them. "Riley? What does that mean?"

"A connection, the stronger you feel the stronger the connection but the marble seems to stabilize when that ring is near. My current form is more like a Pokemon's power than human spirit." Riley says as he looks at the marble. "Maybe it alters the amount of power the Pokemon is able to take. Keep the marble tube and bring some of those rings."

Rob grabs a couple tubes of marbles and some more rings from the rack.

"could the marbles be a kind of power source?" asks Rob.

Jack releases Quilava and gets ready to bolt at any time.
