Valtyr looked around with his enhanced elf eyes and saw something above the trees not knowing if the others could see as well as him he said "Hey look above the trees there is smoke coming from what looks like houses, if that's where we are going to die then it is close at hand" he whispered to the others.

"Why are you all fascinated by the thought that we're going to die?" The Breton furrowed her brow at Valtyr and Vaninir. "We're almost certainly going to prison, yes, but really."

The Nord (The Stormcloak) turns his head, looking ahead.

"That's Helgen ahead. If they were taking us to prison, we would be heading back to the capital," he says, "I guess they wanted to kill Ulfric without a trial. Typical Imperial dogs."

"Well miss, if we try and run for it. We have to get away from the coach behind us and we don't have any idea of where we are. Our odds of survival are slim at best if we tried to escape. If you have any ideas then try them out and we can watch." Rees-Haat says jokingly as he turned to look at the sky. "I'm getting some smokey scent as well... Maybe we are near a village or a burn pile. Can't tell what their burning yet." Rees said as his body went tense. "I don't like this, the whole situation makes me glad that I don't have any loyalties. I don't need orders to heal people, just the right herbs."

"If I could get my hands free I could kill one or two with magic but after that they would get to close and I could only take one of them in hand to hand but they have swords so unless any of you guys are good with magic then we are as good as dead"

The Breton's eyes widened and her head whipped around to face the other man in the cart, who hadn't spoken; he was wearing a gag, after all. "Ulfric? As in Ulfric Stormcloak? They won't execute us too, will they?!" Her voice gradually climbed higher.

"They wouldn't dare!" The Dunmer bristled.

"What about the rest of you do you think you could kill one or two guy if you could free you hands?" Valtyr said quietly so the guards couldn't listin in. He also counted the guards to see what there chances where.

"Claws anyone?" Rees-Haat offered quietly as he opened his hands showing sharp claws that have already sliced through his own bindings. "These things make daggers look bad when testing a blade's usefulness." Rees-Haat says as he smiled with fangs glinting in the light.

The dark elf gave Valtyr a withering look. "The daedra are more of the same. Meaningless myths and legends."

The carts eventually roll into town, passing by several towers. The Stormcloak turns his head and lets out a hiss.

"Damn Thalmor, they probably had something to do with this."

On the right side of the cart, the group can see a pair of well-dressed High Elves talking with an intricately-armored Imperial.

The (Non-Stormcloak) Nord keeps murmuring to himself

"They can't do this...they can't do this...

"No, you're right, they can't." The Breton again tried to get the attention of the guard. "Hey! We're not Stormcloaks, let us go!"

"Okay but I'm need some herbs. Maybe they could help." Rees said as he turned towards the High Elves. He seemed to hesitate before taking a deep breath.

"High Elves, I must request your assistance. Though my blood has brought me nothing but pain and misunderstanding." Rees said in Elfish towards the guards.

The guard turns around.

"General Tullius, now keep it down you scum," the guard barks at him.

Various townspeople have started to come out of the house to watch the carts. The carts pass through a final arch to a open area...and a chopping block.

"If there was any question to our fate..." the Stormcloak mutters.

The (Non-Stormcloak) Nord begins to utter prayers to countless Divines under his breath.
