"Your fate; I'm not going to be executed, I haven't done anything!" the girl cried shrilly.

The Dunmer elbowed the Not-Stormcloak. "Your 'Divines' won't hear your prayers; they don't exist, superstitious fool. Only way out of this is your wit. Use it." He fixed his gaze on a point on the wall.

[Sheogorath]

The Stormcloak glares at the Dunmer.

"Despite your...views on the matter," he sighs, "You seem to be correct."

The carts jolt to a halt, tipping the Not-Stormcloak over into the Dunmer.

"All right, off the carts!" a female Imperial yells, as the Stormcloaks start to disembark.

[Flagmauth]

"Of course I'm correct. I make it my business to be correct at all times. Only proper for a Dwemer." This drew an odd look from the Breton. "A Dwemer? What do you-" The sudden stop cut her off mid-sentence as her head collided with that of the Stormcloak. "OW!"

The Dunmer looked irritated and shoved the Not-Stormcloak roughly out of the back of the cart.

"Well I didnt think this day would come but ill meet it with open arms" Valtyr is the third one to get off the cart just behind a stormcloak and the Not-stormcloak Nord.

Rees-Haat got out last and took a look of the area to find that there were too many eyes watching the scene. He turned to the Female Imperial.

"Miss, we have been taken off the streets for doing no harm nor wrong deed. The Stormcloakes kidnapped us." Rees says quickly before his rib made him stop talking until the pain subsided. "A few of us were taken by force." He adds after turning to look at the Imperial. "I'm not looking for your sympathy, just your help. Even you have to be willing to help those in need... Right?" Rees-Haat asked as he kept up the act of his hands being bound.

Van gets off of the cart and follows the other prisoners.

[Sheogorath]

The Imperial walks down the line, ignoring the Argonian.

At the front, another Nord lists off names, sending the prisoners to join the crowd at the chopping block.

Eventually, the group gets close enough to hear him.

"Ralof of Riverwood."

"Lokir of Rorikstead."

At that point, the Not-Stormcloak (Who the group now knows as Lokir) steps forward.

"No! I'm not a rebel, you can't do this!" He takes off running toward another arch.

The female Imperial turns, yelling, "Stop!"

"You're not going to kill me!" (Lokir)

The female Imperial points at him, "Archers!"


A single arrow flies through the air, stabbing Lokir through the neck. He lets out a low gurgle, before falling and skidding across the ground, blood dripping from his neck.

The female Imperial turns to the group.


"Anyone else feel like running?"

[Flagmauth]

The Breton, shuddering at Lokir's death, shuffled her feet slightly. Given how the Nord had just been brutally cut down, what she was doing could be very dangerous indeed. But she spoke up anyway, "Captain, I'm not a Stormcloak. I'm not even a Nord, nor are a lot of these people here. What purpose do you intend to serve by detaining us?

"I doubt the fact I'm a healer would get me out of this anyway." Rees said as he let the bindings fall from his wrists and started to rub where the rope irritated the scales. "A good strong salve would help." He mumbled before pulling out a small pouch from his right boot. Before anybody could stop him, Rees poured the contents into his mouth and the lizard started chewing on what looked like herbs. After a minute he spat the salve he made on his raw wrists and rubbed it in. "Oh, that's nice." he sighed in relief before turning to the Imperial. "Do you want me to save you the trouble of killing me?" He asked seriously as his green eyes shone with a determined light.

[Flagmauth]

Damnation. That idiot Argonian was going to cheese the Imperials off enough to get them all jailed for life or killed. The Breton glared at him.

"There is nothing I can say or do to get these people off of thinking I'm only good at being a thief. Heck, even when I'm dead these people wouldn't think that I was anything else but a thief. Well guess what, I'm sick of it. All of it." Rees-Haat says as he glares at everybody before resting back on the Imperial. "I'd rather die by my own poison than let your iron end my life." Rees says as he pulls out a pouch from his left boot. "And this little pouch has enough toxic herbs to kill a whole battalion of Imperial soldiers. It can even kill off a battalion of Stormcloaks but it saves me. Saves me from my past, when I had to watch people die when I couldn't heal them." He says as he opens the pouch and takes out three leaves. "I'll let you keep the rest." Rees says closing the pouch and tossing it to the Imperial. "You may find more use fore it than I could." He says putting all three leaves and started chewing. "The toxin is in the juice." He said before swallowing the herbs. "It will be painless but ef-" Rees-Haat stopped mid sentence before falling flat on his face.

"Thank Talos, he was getting annoying." Van mutters.

[Sheogorath]

(I take it this is a bluff, as I doubt you would kill yourself this early.)

The Imperial growls, before calling a soldier over to drag the corpse over to the block to be taken away later.

"It would seem your lizard friend at least had a better grasp of the situation than you," she says, turning to the Breton woman.

"B-but Captain!"

The other Nord speaks up, "She's right, none of them are on the list!"

"so are we able to live?"

[Flagmauth]

The Breton seized what she perceived as her opportunity. "See?! We're not Stormcloaks! Honestly, why would you think a Breton, a Dunmer - "

"I am a Dwemer!"

" - or an Argonian would be doing supporting Ulfric? 'Skyrim is for the Nords,' and all that."

[Sheogorath]

The other Nord speaks up, "Captain, surely if they aren't on the list...," before she cuts him off.


"Forget the list, they all go to the block."


The Nord begins to speak up, but stops, clenching his fists.

"By your orders, captain."

He turns to the group.

"I'm sorry...I'll make sure your remains are returned to your people," he says, as the captain walks towards the block, "Follow the captain, please."

Van follows, muttering words to Talos.

[Flagmauth]

It took the Breton a few tries to get her voice back. "No! You can't just kill us for no reason!" she shouted at the captain, though she wasn't stupid enough to try to escape like Lokir. "We're citizens of the Empire! Except possibly the Stormcloaks. You have to at least give us a trial! Otherwise you're playing into the hands of the Thalmor, killing people off for no reason and making them hate you!"

The Dunmer stood impassively. He had no plans to move on the orders of anyone, Nord or Imperial.

[Sheogorath]

The Imperial stops, walking back to the Dunmer.

"Dunm...no, Dwemer," she starts, before grabbing him by the chin and and pulling him to look him directly in eye.

"You will follow when told to or you will wish you had disappeared along with the rest of your accursed race."

She then lets go of his face, walking back towards the chopping block.

[Flagmauth]

The "Dwemer" grinned. "I already wish that every day of my life, woman." Nevertheless, he was at least pleased that he had finally met someone not operating under the delusion that he was a Dunmer. So he took the lesser of two evils and walked forward to the group.

The Breton, however, was not done yet. She took a step towards the captain - only a step, since she saw one of the archers point his bow at her when she did so. "Are you even listening? I'm a citizen of the Third Empire and I demand to have a fair trial!"

[Sheogorath]

The Imperial draws her blade, causing a gasp from the other Nord, holding it at the Breton's throat. She then leans towards the Breton.

"The only reason you still live, for however much longer, is that killing you now would be disobeying General Tullius," she snarls, poking the Breton in the neck, just enough that a trickle of blood drips down her neck. She then sheathes her sword and continues walking.

[Flagmauth]

The Breton stared after the captain as she walked off, stunned. Then, shaking, she shuffled forward to join the other prisoners, head bowed in defeat as a lock of hair fell in front of her face.

The Dunmer/Dwemer meanwhile was looking around nonchalantly, not seeming as terribly concerned with the whole thing as the other prisoners sentenced to death.

Vaninir stares straight ahead, accepting his fate.

"Let Sovngard welcome me." He says.

[Sheogorath]

As the Breton joins the group, they hear Tullius speak to Ulfric.

"Ulfric Stormcloak, some here in Helgen call you a hero, but a hero doesn't use a power like The Voice to murder his king and usurp his throne!"

Ulfric merely growls at him.

"You started this war, plunged Skyrim into chaos, and now the empire is going to put you down and restore the peace!"

Suddenly, a loud roar is heard, far off in the distance.

"What was that?" Whispers Van to noone in particular.
