Well clearly two of the runepriests were up to the challenge, positioning themselves opposite Smoldar & co.

The flame knocks back Ida and the Runepriest from whom the flame originated smiled. Killing another magician always was so much fun...he drew up another rune, this time however a beam of light came at Ida. Probably nothing good.

With a sudden yell, Anastasia charges the Rune priest who hit Ida with the flame. In one clean stroke, she decapitates the rune-priest.

Octavion looks over at her. "Damn," he says. "Remind me not to piss you off!"

"Can you be kind enough to include me in that reminder?" Aaron asks

He then turns and fires a bolt of lightning at one of the ruin priests

The body the mage had laid on the altar dissolved. He smiled. Something was working.

"What exactly are you doing?" Octavion asks the mage.

Julios- after hiding behind a nearby wall for a while- tries to make a break for it, only to be intercepted by the rune-priests.

"Please don't kill me," he says in a pathetic tone. "I'll do whatever you want. Just don't kill me!"

The rune-priest nods and pushes Julios behind him.

"I've already answered that." The mage said, sounding not at all irritated. At this point, however, he was yanked backwards off his feet by a tentacle of adamant, dragging him by the ankle towards the magic circle.

Aaron fires another bolt of lightning at one of the priests knocking him down. He looks at the mage being draged towards the magic circle "Need any help?"

"Hold on!" Octavion says as he grabs the wrist of the mage and tries to pull him back. It causes a lot of effort to keep from slipping off his feet, but Octavion manages to stand his ground.

The tentacle continues pulling. Sensing resistance, two additional tentacles lashed out at Octavion, adamant spikes shooting at lightning speed towards his chest.

Aaron sees the tentacles and sends out bolts of electricity cutting them in half before they reach Octavion

One of the runepriests draws a rune in the air and a force pushed Octavian towards the tentacle.

The one Aaron tried to attack sends flames spiraling towards him...

The tentacles jerk back reflexively at the touch of the electricity but they most certainly do not split in two. As though sensing that Octavion is being brought nearer, they lash out again, grasping at his ankles.

Smoldar leaps at a priest, fists glowing with bright orange flame.

The priest throws up a shield. With spikes of course.

Smoldar sends 2 collums of flame at the shield, propelling him backwards.

The runepriest takes advantage of the time required for Smoldar to land to send a strong force at Smoldar.

Smoldar is sent flying into a nearby wall, he gets up, cracks his neck, and sends 2 rocket like jets of fire below him, sending him soaring. he curls into a ball, and becomes a human meteor, heading straight for the priest.

The runepriest begins summoning a shield again, whilst moving back.

Smoldar creates a comet tail, speeding his fall.

Aaron teleports behind the prest "Want to go for a ride?"

Aaron teleports him a few feet in the air on the other side of his shield but still in smolders path
