The goblins stopped outside the cave, as they felt no desire to enter themselves. However, when their orc commanders came, they were forced into the cave.

The cave it turned out was a multitude of tunnels, which unbeknownst to the group eventually led into a sapphire mine. David had his sword out, just in case they would run into a goblin patrol.

The group went further into the caves. Soon evidence of a nearby mine could be seen and more accurately heard in the distance. The goblins had split into patrols and the orcs decided that they must remain at the entrance to block any attempted escape.

A goblin patrol of eight come along. They had no weapons to speak off, but their claws were extremely sharp. They are talking in Goblin <When I find them I'm going to eat them. I hear human skulls make good cups...>

Aaron jumps out and sends a ball of lightning in the center of the group. The ball burst on the ground affecting all of the goblins

The goblins in the middle were badly injure and the remaining five once they saw they were outnumbered ran screaming back towards the entrance. It wouldn't be long before goblins would come.

"Shut up" David said as he indicated for the group to move further into the cave. Already the scraping and various goblin voices were getting louder.

A hideous looking creature appeared. It was small, and it looked like a spider crossed with a gnome. In other words, it had eight legs, and eight eyes from the spider as well as hands and pointed ears from the gnome. It waved its arms pointing to its left "follow me strangers!"

"What? You don't trust my warriors instinct" David demanded.

The spider/gnome ran through many cavern hallways, deeper into the cave. Eventually it stopped in front of what it revealed to be a hidden entrance "You're safe in here."

Aaron found that the doorway led to a room, filled with more of the spider/gnomes and some humans as well. They had crafted a table out of stones and on it was a pot of warm fondue a la goblin "please sit down."

David sat down next to him, determined not to eat any of the goblin. Mathew ate a little bit and pretended to like it. The goblin/spider elder sitting at the end of the table swallowed a little goblin and spoke "you are not from this region? Your clothes are too nice and you are well fed. You must be humans from the ancient world."

"Back in the ancient days, humans and their allies banded up to vanquish the evil races of your home world. Demons, zombies, harpies and other creatures were considered evil. The human alliance won and vanquished their opponents into this dimension, calling it justice. Unfortunately, some races didn't deserve to go. Our race didn't want to help the humans and when the humans took our capital we revolted. That made us 'evil' and we were brought to this dimension as well." the elder drank some water and continued "you are probably wondering about the humans here. They are descendants of whom the human alliance called traitors, those who helped their opponents. Individuals were also sent across. They called it justice. I call it cruelty."
