"Laceor, I think that perhaps we should make a deal. You get to follow us, us keeping the ambassador and you keep 25% of the profits."

The ships were now near Amsterdam, a town bustling with merchants and their corresponding vessels. Since the Dutch were neutral, the trade through Amsterdam allowed people to send letters to their beloved ones in their opposing countries. Likewise, goods could be traded from one country through the netherlands to a nation where the original country couldn't trade with.

The ships landed in Amsterdam, a very busy city. The crew of the Merlin had dispersed throughout Amsterdam for the rest of the day to stretch their legs. Crewe decided before going out that he would plan the next leg of the journey. There were three options: Try to cut across France [AKA suicide], fly through western Germany and areas of fighting and hope nothing would happen or fly to Hamburg and then cross Germany in the hopes of avoiding the war altogether.
