Songbird simply put up a wall of hard sound between herself and Wolverine - with a hole for his arm to go through, since hard sound wouldn't hold up against adamantium. With that, she sidestepped his claws and simply closed the hole tightly around his arm.

Wolverine found a barrier about knee-high midway through his charge the hard way, namely by faceplanting on the ground about ten feet away from the Thunderbolts' lieutenant, who promptly anchored him to the ground with thick bands of solid sound.

The ball of magma hit her squarely in the back of the knee - the heat burned her only slightly through her armored suit, but it knocked her leg out from under her and she staggered sideways, dropping Xavier to the ground.

Xavier managed to accomplish nothing beyond screwing up his eyes and looking constipated, as Songbird hit Meltdown again with a sonic wrecking ball.

With Meltdown reeling, Songbird turned away from him for a moment to deal with Iceman, sending a sonic claw up to intercept the young mutant.
