There are moments were the human mind simply shuts itself off when it feels to much pain. This, unfortunately was not one of these moments. The laser sharpener was created just for the case of reactivating nerve endings as they died on the skin. So the pain was exactly like you would expect it to be, needless to say there was a lot of screaming

Rin goes to her room and finds a fish tank filed with... sea anemones. " WEll, I have two questions, 1, why the hell do I have a fish tank and two, why are there anemones in it?" she asks.

"Currently my operation is under inspection" Ward says gesturing at two men in all black suits that were walking around the war room "We need to make sure the rest of the world sees us as an ally and not an enemy. This couldn't have happened at a worse time, once it is over I will personally see you and your friends transport. Until then you are our guests here, I'm sorry for the inconvenience"

The German pilot's eyes narrowed. "Who is 'us,' exactly? Didn't you say zis operation vas sanctioned by ze United Nations?"

Wards eye's also narrowed "You are sharp, I commend you for that. For your question this base is under the observation of the United Nations, they don't directly control us. And "Us" is Ms Orimura, myself and Ms Sarashiki"

Laura thought for a moment. That unsettled her - the Peacemakers were all three American machines, which meant the United States was probably keeping close tabs on this operation. And given the fact that Derek had information from the German IS division, she wasn't inclined to doubt that America was willing to throw its nominal allies under the bus.

Laura went past the three men, turning a corner, and then stopped, listening. She wanted to hear what these mysterious suited agents said, but she didn't want to make it obvious she was listening.

"General you said that you could keep this situation contained" One of the men said

"I have had a few setbacks-" Ward starts to say

"Loosing one of the peacemakers and the IS academies is more then a few setbacks" The other says

Laura hears nothing for a few seconds, the she hears Ward sigh "Has the situation been contained"

"Yes. All pilots coming into the area's have been told to land, refuel themselves and head on there way"

"And if someone asks questions?"

"Then we deal with them"

Laura wondered what sort of situation they could mean. She knew about Advent's theft, and the attack on the Academy, and had figured that they were connected. Now just what did these two Americans mean by dealing with those asking questions?

Laura did a bit of a double take at that. Nobody had been killed during that attack, what were they talking about?

"You let those girls think that Advent only attacked on the atlantic. When will you tell them that the pilots killed everyone in every IS academy"

Laura only didn't gasp aloud by virtue of quickly clapping a hand to her mouth. To most of the world, there was but one IS academy - that would be the big one outside of Tokyo, Japan. Of course, numerous countries had their own smaller operations...one of which was Germany's Schwarzer Hase, the unit to which Laura had belonged prior to transferring to Japan. And to which she still belonged...unless, of course, they were now dead.
