A blonde girl standing in line just in front of January had turned around at the noise of the splash. "Well, I guess that's one way to cool down in this heat..." she muttered, half to herself and half to the Espurr she was holding in her arms. The Espurr itself looked nonplussed by the whole thing.

Serena, bemused, glanced over at the soaked people behind her one last time before turning back to face the front of the line. The Espurr clambered onto her shoulder, fixing Su with an insanely creepy gaze that seemed to bore straight through him.

The Gym line started moving, which would of course mean the arrival of the gym leader. It would take a while to get a battle with the gym-leader, but there was plenty of space within the gym to find a nice spot for a battle.

[Inside Gym: Rarely used Cellar. 10 minutes ago]

Commander Neptune stood above her victim, who she'd tracked across Pewter City since this morning. She was of course dead now. Not because Commander Neptune had anything against her personally, but because she knew too much. It also didn't help that the victim had high morals.
It had been an easy task to track her victim down. She'd want to go somewhere no-one else was likely to suspect, somewhere left alone. In this instance somewhere below the gym, where only a handful of people went, mostly because they were lost. It had been a simple matter of tracking her using the cities cameras as well as her own. She looked down one more time on her victim with disgust. Then she called her grunts to clean up. They'd be here soon and no-one would ever know that someone had died in the gym. Neptune was known to be paranoid in the extreme, meaning that the body of her victim was to be removed.

[Outside Gym: Current]
The grunt leading the cleanup crew stepped out of the garbage truck. They'd parked on the side entrance of the gym reserved for personnel. He didn't like removing bodies, but considering his last failure, he didn't want to disappoint Neptune again. She wasn't known for her mercy. The personell of the gym weren't even there, probably taking an extended break. The six grunts quickly moved downstairs to complete their dirty job...

A tall teenager was complaining quietly about being lost and was passing the alleyway of the side entrance with an annoyed alertness, holding a town map in his hand.

"Well should be where the gym is....but where?" Noticed the grunts. "Excuse me sir, can you help me? I'm lost and looking for the local Gym." The teen called out as he started walking over to the grunts.

The group of trainers found themselves soon inside the gym, a massive structure designed for Pokemon battles. As expected the gym leader was already facing his first challenger, with other trainers eagerly waiting in line. January didn't want to wait for the lunch line to die down by waiting in said line, instead he pointed at a vacant battle space "Anyone want to practice? I believe we have enough for a double battle."

The grunt whom the tall teenager had been talking to didn't look too pleased, as implied by his tone. Nonetheless he gave directions "Look kid, this is the gym. The main entrance is that way. This is the emploees entrance."

Naturally, just as he said that, commander Neptune came out the side entrance, dressed like a wealthy woman. She saw the teenager and kept walking, as if she was in fact an employee.

The teen smiled and nodded before he put away his map and ran over to the woman who walked out of the Gym.

"Is there any Intel you can give me about the leader here or are you all sworn to silence?" The teen asked as he walked along side the woman. "If you could tell me anything it would be deeply appreciated." He says as he walked, and watched her from the corner of his eye for any sign of discomfort from her.

Commander Neptune took a second to realize he meant the gym leader. If the teen had been watching closely, he'd have seen something resembling fear in her eye for a split second. Neptune shrugged "you'll have to battle him yourself. I'm not helping you."

With that commander Neptune left the teen.

The teen noticed the slight fear but shrugged it off as he walked.

"Hopefully your work will pay off. But thanks anyway." The teen said before jogging ahead and entering the Gym to find two people about to battle. He walks up to the group nearby. "Did I miss anything important?" He asked the group around him as he watched the start of the battle.

While waiting for a reply he threw out Sneasel "Go Sneasel"

"Suit yourself" January replied. He was waiting for Su to bring out his Pokemon.

Four of the six grunts had meanwhile arrived where the body lay. The head grunt being one of them "Neptune will be pleased."

The head grunt leaned against a nearby wall, leaving his three team-members to do the dirty work. In this instance removing the body into a trash bag and wiping the floor. Nothing complicated. That was until he looked up. Of all the improbable times that a trainer had to pass through this exact hallway, it had to be now.

She was still in shock, having seen the whole clean-up proccess. The head grunt knew he had another body to clean up "Stunky use poison sting."

The trainer tried to dodge the projectile by sidestepping it. It scraped her. She could already feel the pain in her leg from the poison. She had to get out of here. Ignoring the pain in her leg, she started to sprint, followed by the grunts...

The two grunts who'd remained at the garbage truck, got a message from the head grunt to intercept the trainer. They sprinted across the gym floor, to shortcut reach the staircase to the right of Su, almost knocking him and January over as they hurried across the battle field.

An image, a tired looking urchin making his way through the crowd. A sound, The hiss of the breaks as the train comes to rest at the Unova Stations. People passing, people giving other whispers, voices and grime fill the metro as Daniel walks onto the platform. Daniel keeps his head down, but looks up as the city slowly grows smaller behind him. With a faint smile he lifts his head to gaze across the countryside. The hills of His home finally come into view, and he opens a pokeball to let Corbin out. Daniel helps Corbin look out the window as Johto’s Milktank farms and Berry fields flash by though the port view of the cabin.

Yet, he was not here to visit home. He was going to Pewter city. The museum of Science was his destination, as he hoped to get a better look at the records of old stones. Some people talked a lot about stones, and he remembered that place had many. Daniel was not very into the sciences, but felt that exploring, and finally learning something “useful” would be good for him. The train came to a stop, and he stepped out, holding onto Corbin’s outstretched paw. They both gazed up at the mountains in a hushed wonder. It was Daniel’s favorite thing, seeing sites like these with his pokemon. Stargazing was one of Daniel’s hobbies, maybe there would be something stellar at the science museum, but He held little hope to find things that fascinated him. “Come on Corbin, we got a good ‘mount of walking to do a’for it gets too late." And so the two of them began walking toward the city, the midday sun beating down across the brown and tan figures.

The teen saw the grunts run by and recognized them from earlier.

"This doesn't look good." The teen says before taking off after the grunts with the Treecko still on his shoulder.

"I don't know" January said, mostly to himself "now that everyone is done trampling over the battle field, perhaps we can start."

The grunts who'd run across the battle field, hurried down the stairs and turned sharp to the right. Then they saw the girl and they stopped to confront her. She stopped as well, her face lined in pure terror. The grunts released a Zubat and a Koffing.

Daniel finds himself near the gym, heading through a crowded market, with vendors trying to desperately sell their junk to him.

The teen came around the corner and saw the grunts about to gang up on a terrified looking girl who had a cut. Not liking his odds at the moment sent out his Snivy. "There are a whole bunch of trainers back there about to battle. Go get as many as you can, drag them here if you have to." The Snivy nods before running back to the battle area and jumps into the center of the battle field and tried to tell all the trainers that he needs help.

The teen makes himself known with a cough.

"Gentlemen, if you wanted to battle, there was a whole room built for that ba k there." The teen says with the Treecko standing on his shoulder.

Daniel lifts up Corbin and putsh im on his shoulders as he walks past the shouts of the stands and vendors. He takes a moment to glance at a few trinkets before returning to walk past the Gym. "Seems rather busy..." Daniel pauses to watch a moment, Corbin lightly tapping Daniel's shoulder with his club.

One of the grunts sees the Snivy run off for help, he quickly grabbed hold of the fire alarm and pulled. Almost an instant later, the fire alarm howled throughout the gym "not today kid"

"Zubat use leech life on him [teen]!"

"Koffing use Poison gas on her"

The girl throws herself to the ground to avoid the poisonous fumes, coughing audibly. The four other grunts round the corner, the head grunt smiling "can't run away today."

On the upper floor of the gym, trainers start rushing out. Naturally not in an organized fashion. January who was about ready to order his first move stops "can I just have one battle today?"

Just like that, it seemed the day was going to get a lot more complex that Daniel wanted. He saw the people rush and panic as the fire alarm went off like a trumpet. "Welp, this looks fun.." Daniel began to push his way forward, trying not the get swept way by the mass of people.
