(I'm going to assume Solosis is healing well, after my little cut-scene of Venus and the pokémon.)

Venus calls out; "If those are unused pokéballs, grab some for me too!" Venus stands up and goes to look in one of the rooms, satisfied that Solosis is recovering. She sees...

Venus calls out; "If those are unused pokéballs, grab some for me too!" Venus stands up and goes to look in one of the rooms, satisfied that Solosis is recovering. She sees...

...a lab room with a Rocket Scientist working on something in the back. He hears Venus come in,

"Who are you? You don't look like a grunt!" he yells, hitting a button on the wall. All of the sudden, the door slams behind Venus and bars shoot out from clasps on the wall, barring the door.

"I can't let you mess with my experiments!" the scientist yells, sending out Klink

(Does Venus have her pokémon with her? I know I never explicitly said I returned them to their pokéballs, but I can think of about five ways to play this out, and most of those involve my pokémon to a greater or lesser extent.)

"You're damn right I'm no Grunt!" Venus calls out, "And I have a feeling that whatever 'research' you're doing, it's not to help pokémon. I won't let you involve innocent pokémon in your nefarious purposes any longer!"

[Sheogorath]

(Venus has all of them except Solosis, who is with Audino.)

"Impudent fool! Your cliche one-liners will not save you! Klink, Gear Grind!"

The Klink launches a pair of large spinning gears at Venus.

Venus dodges to one side quickly, injuring her shoulder in a rough landing, and (sends out/calls to) Metang. "Metang! Use confusion on Klink! Try to get it out of the fight without hurting it. Then use take down on the scientist!" She also (sends out/calls to) Pawniard. "Pawniard, try to get behind our scientist friend over there, and when Metang hits him and he falls, hold one of your blades to his throat, if you can do it without hurting him much."

[Sheogorath]

The confusion hits Klink, but it shakes it off.

"Klink, use Bind on her Metang!"

The Klink wraps around Metang's arm, grinding into it with their gears.

"And if you think your Pawniard gets away," the scientist sends out a Sableye, "Sableye, Detect!"

The Sableye grabs Pawniard by the leg, hoisting it into the air.

"Is that all?"

(Just fyi, I'm going to be in France for 2 weeks starting today, and completely unable to post. It looks like this battle may have to last that long. Hopefully the others can go on exploring, and Venus can just catch up when I get back.)

Venus struggles to her feet, and steadies herself. "Alright you sadistic son-of-a-, if you insist on involving innocent pokémon in this, I'll play on your level. Metang, Pawniard, Sigilyph, Klink, Sableye, forgive me.

Sigilyph, use tailwind to give everyone a boost, then use whirlwind on the scientist to stop him from sending out anymore pokémon, or issuing any commands. If he manages to resist, as a last resort, use psybeam on him. Metang, use metal claw, then confusion, and if that doesn't do it, then take down, on Klink. Pawniard, use faint attack on Sableye, and follow it up with Fury cutter."

Sigilyph flaps its wings violently, immediately making it very windy in the room. The breezes seem to always be behind Sigilyph's allies, and the scientist (for some reason, I want to keep calling him the professor, lol) takes the brunt of the winds, which are meant to knock him over, and make it very hard to speak.

Metang reaches over with his free arm, and hits Klink square in the face with its claws. It then follows up with confusion and take down, as instructed.

Pawniard seems to grin a bit, and then disappears from Sableye's grasp, and reappears behind it. He falls down on Sableye with the full force of the Faint attack, and then follows with Fury cutter.

[Sheogorath]

Crashing into the wall, the scientist lets out a groan. Seeing both of his Pokemon knocked out, he calls them back.

"So it seems that even I must join the fray."

The scientist pulls off his glasses, tossing them aside. Upon doing so, the scientist melts into a pink puddle, before reforming into a darker version of Venus' Metang.

"Shall we?" he growls, before launching himself at Venus, shaking off the psybeam.

Audino stands up, lifting Solosis up to the desk. It floats up into the air. Aaron walks over, turning Solosis around to get a look at the new membrane.

"Try to keep that new membrane out of danger, ok?"

[Flagmauth]

[Holy human-Pokémon hybrids, Batman!]

"Where did Venus go?" Dawn asked, recalling Mawile.

[Sheogorath]

(Hybrids? Not quite )

"She went...to one of those doors...?"
Aaron looks around, clearly confused.
"Which one was it again?"

[Flagmauth]

Dawn shrugged.

[Also, are you ever going to join another RP? I know that I bugged you incessantly about updating this one, but we're trying to increase activity forum-wide, so we can invite new members and have them stay because of an *ahem* active community.]

(Speaking of an active community, you might want to get the others to post here and to get Ian to post at all. I have everyone's Christmas Pokemon ready, they just need to post and get them.)

Luna was being dragged along by all of her pokemon after receiving a sever blow to the head. (sorry it stopped sending me Emails about recent posts) She wakes up suddenly and moans.

[Flagmauth]

Dawn turned and saw Luna. She nudged Aaron. "Can your Audino heal her?"

[Sheogorath]

"Of course. Audino, use Heal Pulse."

Audino lays its hands on Luna, emitting pink pulses that begin to heal Luna.

Aaron then walks out of the office, looking around for some sign of Venus.

[Doomwing]

Luna looks up and mutters her thanks. She props herself up against the wall and returns all her pokemon but Pichu. Pichu curls up on her lap and rubs hits head under her hand. "Where are we..." Luna asks somewhat groggily.

[Flagmauth]

"We're in a Team Rocket base...and we seem to have lost Venus." Dawn attempted to pull open a door (happenstance: it was the door Venus had walked through) and found it locked.

[Doomwing]

"Great…" Luna sighs and closes her eyes slightly. Pichu rubs his head on her arm and climbs up on top of her shoulder.

[Flagmauth]

Dawn systematically tried the rest of the doors. She had a nagging feeling that the locked one she had just tried was the one Venus had gone through...she wasn't certain but it seemed right to her.

[President WIN]

Venus, amazed by the transformation she has just witnessed, does not have time to speak. Her pokémon, however, react on instinct.

Metang, although injured, notes the scientist's transformation, and flies at him/it, (essentially using takedown)

Pawniard leaps on the scientist after metang brings him/it down, and uses psycho cut.

Sigilyph moves towards Venus protectively and keeps up his tailwind/whirlwind combination.

[99luftballons]

May gestured at the locked door "do you think we could break the door down? We probably don't have much time, for I fear that the grunts will return in greater numbers."

[Doomwing]

Luna thinks for a few seconds. "None of my pokemon would even make a dent in that door, but maybe...." Luna grins a little bit and sends out Rotom. "I can't believe I forgot that Rotom can control electrical Items... including the Door's control panel! Rotom! Do your thing!" Luna points at the door.

[Sheogorath]

[Inside the room]

"Foolish Pokemon, you will not defeat me with such pathetic attacks!" the "Scientist" growls, launching a purple-black blast around it that sends Metang and Pawniard into the walls.

"And now, you shall behold my true power!" he roars, sending a black energy blast at Sigilyph and Venus.


[Outside the room]

After Rotom enters the panel, it comes flying out a few seconds later, followed by a blocky Pokemon.



"That's a Porygon!" Aaron gasps.

[Doomwing]

Luna's eyes widen and she smiles. "Nothing like a good battle to wake you up. Rotom use confuse ray!" She points at the Porygon.

[Sheogorath]

As the ghostly light swirls around the Porygon, its eyes go blank. Suddenly, a bunch of what look like computer windows come flying out of Rotom, absorbed by Porygon. Then Porygon changes color, turning darker, its edges becoming more pointed.
