The Russians agree to the cease fire, and America sends an ambassador to mediate the talks. The ambassador's first suggestion is that Russia receive about one third of their original monetary demands and that, as compensation, the demilitarized zone in Germany be extended further (not all that much, but still).

The Russians meanwhile set up the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

The Germans will accept only if the Russians agree to set up a demilitarized zone as well. This way both sides will have to trust one another.

The Russians agree to no such thing, as meanwhile the nation of Czechoslovakia breaks from Hungarian control.

Greece's nterrogations of the renegades has begun.

After a near incident involving a rogue Russian officer, the United States elects to move the talks to Prague, beings as it is a neutral city. The Czechs, eager to legitimize their fledgling country, agree quickly.

Italy demands the return of some Austrian provinces that Italians live in.

Germany agrees. The germans also deport Lenon back to Russia soil. He has been trained and is ready to roll.

(I have decided to switch to Austria)

(before I leave Turkey I'll leave Jeffery the status of Turkey) Turkey has a democratic government as of now, it tries to industrialize and get a big army [policy of the party in control], but does not work smugly for most people are farmers. Turkey is 'neutral' but is increasingly leaning toward Russia as its ally (I guess it would be more profitable). Turkey has got a good navy but, to put it nicely, a small army.

(Now I can take the throne) Austria, receives the telegram/ letter/ message that Italy wants some of its provinces. Austria responds by [I'll post that once Jeffery will give me specific info on what provinces (a map would be ideal)] and increasing its large army. Austria is hoping to avoid a war with Italy, for Russia its eastern 'friend', seems to want more land. Austrian troops in the east have already built several miles of trenches to prepare for a Russian army.

The Italians have demanded that Austria cede Tristo, Trieste, Gorizia and Gradisca to the Italian Imperium.

The situation in the Syrian Kingdom is deteriorating rapidly. Riots between Jews and Arabs have resulted in troops firing on the rioters, seemingly only at the Jewish ones if possible. Russian and Easter European Jews have poured into Palestine seeking refuge from the anti-Semitic Tsar only to find the Arabs trying to kill them too, and they aren't happy about it. The revolt explodes into civil war about the same time that the Russo-German peace talks are moved to Prague.

The Americans propose that the terms be revised to include a demilitarized zone on German territory that would only exist for a certain amount of time (they initially say seven years) as opposed to indefinitely.

Hearing about the Arab-Jewish conflict, King Ambrosius sends in some troops to try and restore peace to the region.

After heavy losses, the Greeks manage to restore peace to the region. They also decide to stay to make sure the Arabs don't act up again. Ambrosius reinforces the region.

Arab solidarity not quite being what it was in OTL 1948, the newly declared state of Israel is not attacked by its neighbors. Yet. The Arabs continue to resist the joint "occupation" by the Israelis and Greeks through guerrilla warfare and car bombs, rather like the Mormons are now doing across the Atlantic in occupied Deseret.

Austria finally decides to recognize Hungary (If this wasn't done already). Also the government invests a large sum in iron mining (never know when it is useful). Austria also starts building a huge road and train network throughout the country for in military situations moving supplies and in more peaceful times passengers and their supplies.

Austria keeps its military in the southern and eastern part of the country.

The Talks continue, and Germany Agrees to a time limit of five years on the De-militarized zone, And a payment plan over the span of the Five year period as well.

Germany also Recognizes The Government of Hungary as a country.

Russia agrees, and with the Treaty of Prague, the Russo-German War has ended. The Russian armies pull out of German territory. The Tsar begins moving them eastward, looking to take Manchuria and Korea back from Japan (although wary of the increasingly close relationship between Japan and the US).

Italy's ambassador to Austria again demands that the Austrians release the Italian-speaking provinces to Imperium control.

The CSA's government appears to be unstable. The country was founded on secession and it looks like secession may be the death of it, as individual state governments are responding to the Union threat rather than working as a cohesive unit. The industrial might of the United States has put them in a bad position and American monitors range freely on the Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio rivers, while American airships bombard civilian targets, laughing at Confederate inability to hit them. The Americans have manufactured their first tank and have blasted through the Arkansas front with it. Talk of secession is alarmingly common in the Confederate States.

France introduces a revolutionary (if small) tank design: the Renault FT-17.

The Germans begin reconstruction efforts. They rebuild destroyed highways and shut down the airship research. The Focus these scientists on the Airplane division.

The Germans also begin construction of a massive iron mine. The new deposit found is the largest one ever found on German soil.

The Confederate state of Sequoyah secedes and applies for both readmission to the Union and amnesty. It receives both, and its betrayal allows Union troops to outflank the Davis Line in Texas.

Italy, its army placed on the border of Austria, recalls its Austrian ambassador and delivers an ultimatum to the Austrians, demanding they cede the Italian territories or Italy will take them.

France, looking to reduce the power of the Germanic states, decides to back Italy, and send the Italians a message saying so.

The Russians convene with France in the Second Franco-Russian Convention and pledge their support for one another in the event of war with Germany.

Lenin is kicked out of Russia again and sent to Madrid, Spain. He doesn't stay there, however, as he travels to Lisbon, then to New York City, and finally to Nuremburg, Germany.

The Japanese, knowing they can't stand up in a protracted war with Russia, preempts the Russians by attacking troop trains on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Japanese ground troops, making effective use of mines and tanks, sever the railway and threaten to seize Vladivostok. Outraged, the Russians declare war.

Britain, noting the CSA seems to be disintegrating (talk of secession is now flying about in Texas) seizes the Nicaragua Canal. Nobody really seems to care, with the Confederates fighting for their lives on the continent itself.

The Republican Party, under the symbol of the moose, has almost unchallenged support in America thanks to the exploits of TR. The Socialist Party, the main opposition, has next to none by this point. Oh, and their symbol is a sea lion.

Germany Sends Lenin back with True training. They also send a special squad of Five trained Spies to assist him in his effort.

Lenin's "converts," as it were, spread Marxist-Leninist teachings through Spain, Portugal, the USA, and Germany. They also reach Britain, India, France, Italy, Austria and Greece.

Sweden-Norway concludes a series of treaties with Denmark forming the Alliance of Scandinavian Nations (ASN). The new nation's first act is to construct military fortifications along the borders of Germany and Russia.

Austria sends its troops to the border as well. However Austria doesn't want war and sends an ambassador to Rome, in attempt to negotiate the situation.

Vienna's terms for handing over this territory is as following:

1. Austria hands over the territories in return for $10 mil and the promise that it will keep two of its mines (located in the territory)

2. Both sides withdraw a certain amount of troops from the border

3. Austria is allowed to join the alliance against Russia

An anonymous package is delivered belatedly to the Hapsburg emperor. It contains several tons of yellow cake.

The Italians agree to the terms and move their armies from the border. In a strained interpretation of the terms they've moved their army divisions to the new border, looking to put on a show of force in standing up to a recognized European power and increase their prestige. The Regia Aeronautica's two airships patrol the border in plain view of the Austrians, firing guns in salute to Austrian airships encountered.

Austria likewise moves its troops from the border. The Austrian government is happy to not be involved in another war (costly). They then move most their troops to the eastern border to be trained and maybe fend of invasions from eastern European nations.

Also the government starts developing a special force that is meant for fighting in the mountains (gorilla warfare style). These troops are known as the Austrian Alp Army (AAA). The reason they are developed is because the whole country is basically mountain.
