the force of the kick greatly loosens the rusty lock. Jude uses his hands to jostle the lock until it breaks. he silently opens the door and looks around so no one will notice him.

"Hey! Somebody! Let me out of here! I'm innoncent! I didn't kill that man, and I didn't kill this guard!" Malachai calls from his cell, not really caring whether it is a guard or another prisoner who hears him.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn heard the sound of the kick and then heard the other man screaming. "Thrice damn it!" she muttered. If that yelling didn't bring the guard back down here she didn't know what would. Now or never... she thought bracing herself to try and pull out the other shackle...

(I think I found out why the dice rolls were being dimb, I did not know that the arrow keys did anything to the numbers in the dice roll option. won't happen again)
Jude walks over to his cell and looks through the bars.
"Looks like you're in a pickle there." he says witha dousche bag grin on his face.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
The shackle fairly erupted from the wall. Dezenn, no longer supported, fell unceremoniously to the ground. Quickly, she got up and scanned her surroundings, mind racing. The most immediately feasible option would be to leave the premises entirely...not likely, given that she was wearing prison rags and shackled, plus would be leaving some...important materials behind. The next one was to hide, but once that guard saw her absent from her place against the wall he would undoubtedly look for her and she wasn't sure she could do that good of a job of hiding.
That left one option. She picked up the hood from the ground and pulled it back over her head, though a little more loosely - this place had a warm climate and she didn't particularly want to stifle. Then she stuck the iron bolts for her shackles back into the holes, again loosely (as if they'd have gone any other way now that they'd broken) and made as though she were still trapped there. With luck the jailer would come down to shut up the other prisoner and she could escape when he left again.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
David heard the screams and decided to persuade the prisoners to be silent. He went down to the dungeon floor "Alright, what is the matter with you little rodents?"

Jude quickly slips into an empty cell so the guard wouldn't see him in the shadows.

"No idea," Dezenn said, her voice noticeably less muffled since the hood was much looser now. "That guy just started screaming he's innocent!"
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
David moves to the "innocent" guy "You there. SHUT UP. I can't hear myself think."

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn sighed in relief, again removing the hood and the bolts. Now if she could just find those keys, or some lockpicks...She started searching the room for items that would match the profile of lock-picking-doohickey.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"Wait! I am innocent! And if you're not killing yourself, it means you might be able to help me. I've been cursed! People get the urge to kill themselves anytime they're near me. And if their will isn't strong enough, they do it! That's why I was found with that body! I didn't do anything!"

...and found a pair of lockpicks. Grasping one in her teeth and using the other one with her hand she began to remove the shackles.

"What are you talking about?" Jude asks barley visible in his cell.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
David was about to take a sip of a fine wine when he heard "innocent" yell again. "Now What?!?!?"
David returns to the Dungeon banging the entrance door shut and locks it with an audible click. "Let me tell you something. I DON'T CARE whether you are innocent or not. What matters is that you are here. Now for the sake of my eardrums, I'm moving you further down the hall." David pulls out his sword and motions for "innocent" to move.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn hurriedly ducked behind the nearest item of furniture, a chest, and tried not to be seen.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Meanwhile David locks his prisoner into the furthest cell from the door, muttering "Thank goodness the other prisoners are behaving..."

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Yeah, thank goodness Dezenn thought, unable to suppress a smile. Evidently this guy wasn't very observant - a good sign, if he'd made off with her stuff like she thought.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"Behaving!? This is a matter of life and death!" Malachai sputters.
Meanwhile, a random prisoner one cell over from bites his own tongue off, and begins to claw his eyes out.
