"This place just gets worse and worse." Jude says shaking his head now looking for a way out.

David leaves again, fed up with the prisoners and their constant claims of being innocent.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn's smile grew more broad. Evidently the man hadn't noticed the spot on the wall she was chained to was unoccupied now...Oh well, his loss. She took up the lockpicks and, using the chest lid as a work surface, managed to remove one manacle and start on the other one.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
The other two guards decided that the prison was calm and decided to get drunk. After all David should be able to handle trouble if it came...

Dezenn, meanwhile, got her shackles off entirely. That done, she started on the chest itself, thinking that while it was a long shot her...for want of a better word, possessions, might be in here instead of upstairs.

"Hey!" Octavion shouts to David as David passes by. "Can you let me outta here?!"

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
...the lockpick snapped audibly. She cursed under her breath and looked about for more lockpicks.

"Hey you!" Octavion shouts once again to David. "Let me outta here! All I did was get drunk in a pub, I swear!"

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Another guard, who is getting drunk with the other two, yells over at Octavion. "Be quiet! We've not only got you on bawling, but pub-lick intoxication too!" He guffaws at his own drunken joke.
Meanwhile, Malachai is just interested in getting out of the prison, so people stop killing themselves. He calls out (quietly enough that David won't hear this time) to Jude, saying, "This madness must end. I can't be around people with weak wills. Can you help me escape?" He then makes the request more general. "Or someone else?"

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn, meanwhile, had found another lockpick and opened the chest. To her disappointment this chest contained mostly clothes, though she didn't hesitate to switch her prison rags for some of them one she found a set that fit. That probably means that the rest of my stuff is out in the guardhouse...fantastic, she thought, heading for the door.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"NEVER MESS WITH A SPARTAN!" Octavion shouts, hoping to intimidate the guards.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn, running a brush through her hair quickly, turned around and frantically shushed Octavion. That stupid drunkard was going to get her caught, by all appearances.
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Octavion sees Dezenn, and his voice suddenly drops. "Hey lass," he says, "Are you planning an escape? If so, you're gonna need a Spartan on your side."
Apparently, the two guards are too drunk for them to realize the Spartan had calmed down.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Somewhat miffed, Dezenn replied, "I am not planning an escape, I am perpetrating one. And why would I need your help?"
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"Why are you perpetrating an escape?" Octavion asked, clearly not understanding the idea.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
Dezenn gave him an odd look. "Because I am in prison and I do not want to be."
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"good enough reason I'd say." Jude says stepping out of his cell and looks over at Octavian. "we won't get anywhere with those "guards" around, we have to take them out." he says so no one but Octavian and Denz would hear.

Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"Of course." Dezenn said, walking to the exit. She eased the door open and quickly scanned the interior of the guardhouse...(Numbers, that's your cue.)
Re: Trolls and Trinkets 2e
"Hey, you!" Malachai says, indicating Jude. "Can you get me out of here? If I get close enough to the guards, they'll probably kill themselves." He finishes dispiritedly.
(If Jude chooses to help, he'll probably need to to save against Malachai's curse. As a player character, he's not eligible to die, but he might pass out from the effort of resisting. Roll d20. You're fine on an 11 or better.)

Jude walks over to his cell and does the same thing he did on his own. (rolling 2 d20's, 1 for the door, and 2 for the curse)
