With Rudolf's outraged cry and Lydia's plainly frightened tone, Elsa flinched as though physically struck. The red light flared, briefly illuminating the mountainside in bloody tones, as snow picked up from the ground and swirled about the base of the palace. Underneath the now-screaming wind, Elsa was still chanting to herself mechanically, desperate to keep herself under control even as that control dissolved.

The best way by far would be back down through the palace staircases - the structure also provided shelter from the storm that Elsa appeared to have conjured.

Elsa looked up, then recoiled in terror when she saw the musket pointed at her. "W-what are you doing?!" she cried, nearly stepping back before remembering she had nothing to step onto.

Elsa didn't say anything - she was out of options here. She thrust both her hands down at the ice below her. Blue-white motes of power shot out and within a second she had a wall of ice five feet thick between her and Rudolf.

Elsa didn't say anything about that at all. Part of her was afraid he was right. Part of her was sick of his threatening her and wanted to freeze him solid and throw him off the bridge. Of course that would just vindicate his accusations.

Elsa wasn't sure he was wrong, but she didn't want to find out. "Get out of here. All of you. You've seen what I can do - what I can't help but do. Every minute you're here I could lose control."

If they wouldn't leave she'd take matters into her own hands. Leaving the bulletproof ice shield in place, Elsa turned and gestured, lifting her hands.

More pillars of ice erupted from the mountainside below, rapidly rising to the height of the bridge, which immediately began to extend outward. As soon as she knew she had enough bridge to escape, Elsa immediately ran off (insofar as she could run wearing a dress) down the bridge and away from the people she had just nearly killed.
