Since nobody else appeared willing, Ilyssa picked her way up the steps, avoiding any icy patches, and tried the doors. They were unlocked. Turning, the Breton gestured to the others to follow her before heading inside.

Upon entry, they found themselves in a stone room, with a wide open space brightly lit and with a few shrines, or something of the like, on either end. The walls of the room were cloaked in shadow, such that the group almost didn't see the hooded figures approaching. The Greybeards certainly didn't have that name for nothing - all had fairly impressive beards ranging from steel-colored to the tone of wintry storm clouds.

The one across the room from the entryway stepped forward to meet them. "So...this moment is the one to mark the reappearance of the Dragonborn. Five of you, in fact."

Quells enters the great hall behind the group. Anyone looking would have seen a spark of recognition in his eyes, though he remained silent in the presence of the bearded men.

Hearing the door, both Inigo and Ilyssa turned to see Quells arrive, though neither said anything. The Greybeard who had spoken raised an eyebrow at the Argonian's entrance. He then continued, "So, Dragonborn, or those among this group who are Dragonborn. Let us taste of your Voice."

It didn't sound pretty. Quells did note that he could feel the power, but he just couldn't reach it.

"Ah. I had a feeling this might happen. The Voice is the ability to concentrate your very being into a Thu'um - a Shout. Shouts are, by necessity, in the dragon tongue - it is the source of their power. If none of you have learned any Words of Power then of course you are unable to use your abilities." Arngeir said. He looked down. "Fus." A wave of energy escaped his mouth and blazed a trio of unknown characters into the ground - the group found themselves somehow able to comprehend it even before Arngeir started explaining.

"Fus means force, in the dragon tongue, and it is the first word of the Shout Unrelenting Force. Each Shout has three Words of Power, each of which makes the Shout more powerful. Now, try again, but this time use the Word to focus your power."

Thom concentrates for a second before screaming "FUS"

Ilyssa, who was in front of and slightly to the right of Thom, yelped as a wave of force blasted forward and knocked her off-balance. The tiny Breton stumbled forward to keep from falling, her scarf wrapping part of the way around her head as though blown in a strong wind.

"Let me try" Quells says. He concentrates for a moment and then says "Fus!"

Quells had a similar effect, hitting Ilyssa, Inigo and Thom. Ilyssa muttered something like "why me?" before practicing her own Shout on Vaninir.

Arngeir cleared his throat. "Dragonborn, the Thu'um is not to be used lightly. Please refrain from using it on one another." He sounded rather annoyed.
