Bard, Nereida, & Darian
The fortune teller started to get annoyed at the relentless optimism of Bard and how Darian decided to be vague in his answer. However, she was good at hiding it, instead concentrating at the situation at hand "We heard that you [pointing at Nereida & Darian] that there were others with you. If we, the Dwarven Resistance, were able to help your companions, then they should be en route to the Marble Tavern"

The group ended up taking a different staircase up to the temple district. Fortunatly the path to the temple district was relatively Samurai free. But as they reached the last set of stairs, they saw a patrol of Samurai in the distance questioning shopkeepers, pilgrims and clergy for presumably 'Westerners from the far-flung lands of London'. Unfortunately the Samurai were coming their way.

Yasuo & Liv
While Yasuo and Liv were talking, the elder man took the duo through the crowd towards the "Marble Cafee", an expensive looking tavern nestled on the edge of the temple district on an upslope - with a rather magnificent view of the city below. Minjae told his companions that it would be a safe location until things cooled down. The tavern's occupants themselves were upscale patrons, who could afford the pricy menu. Upon entering the Marble Tavern, Liv and Yasuo saw neatly arranged marble tables, beautiful marble statues and wealthy patrons drinking out of marble tankards. Clearly someone had an obsession with marble. They didn't make it far into the tavern before they turned to face a loud strongly built dwarf shouting "Brother! How good to see you - and I see you brought customers. Well paying ones I hope this time!"

Seeing Minjae not respond right away, his brother's expression changed as he absently played with a gold coin in his hand "...or not. Seriously, your hobby is going to turn me into a beggar at this rate! Oh well, no matter! Right this way - time is money after all!" The brother led the three down to a private room at the end of the hall, a well furnished dining room, with a prepared meal on a (you guessed it) marble table (Rice, vegetables and fish). When the door closed behind them, Minjae took a seat by pulling up a marble chair. He studied his two companions quite intently, finally asking who Yasuo actually was.

Liv ignored the food, not being particularly hungry. "What is a daimyo? I keep hearing that word everywhere."

"We're not in Japan. What are his men doing here?" Liv had no idea where Japan was but she knew this place was called Korea.

"fukuma has gained some unnatural powers, making him almost invincible. he has conquered Japan, slaughtering anyone who stands in his way... and now he's coming for this country next."

"And he pretty much controls Korea. There's a few strongholds in the North still loyal to our king, but I doubt they'll last long. Which means our resistance groups are the only thing left soon" Minjae added "which is why we've taken such an interest in you - why would there be Samurai targeting foreigners?"

As Minjae asked the question, the door behind him opened. Into the room came Darian, Nereida, the bard and the fortune teller.

Immediately upon entering he saw a familiar face in the tavern. He sighed in relief to see Liv is still intact. He walked over to her, "Glad you are still in one piece. You aren't damaged, right?" As Darian pulled her head back to see if there were any scars or wounds on her face/neck

"I'm Minjae, Korean/Dwarven resistance leader at your service. We're resisting occupation of the very men chasing us today" Minjae reached out his hand for Darian to shake.

"I know he is an idiot, as well as Creator's apprentice. Or assistant. Possibly his manservant." Liv shrugged. "I never bothered to ask." She pointedly ignored Darian's question.

"No, he's not my father." Liv was aware what a father was, but Creator didn't qualify. For one, that would make the vat she was grown in her mother and that just plain didn't make sense.

"The creator, he was with you, wasn't he?" a worried Minjae asked. At least he had an idea of why the group was chased by the Samurai. Minjae didn't like the idea of someone this powerful held by the Japanese.

Darian stare at the one now speaking with a bit of the lingering annoyance from Liv and now suspicion, "Nothing. Moving on."

Seeing as Darian wanted to dismiss the subject, Liv spoke up. "Creator is a master alchemist, who decided he was going to create a living, breathing being from nothing. I am the result."
