The Pelipper pulls itself together, knocking back the Golett, but clearly hurting. Seeing the new arrival, it quickly crashes through the door and flies away.

May, rather confused with whats going on, looked at the Peliper fly away. "I should probably introduce myself, I'm May" and looking at Turtwig May said "and that is Turtwig. What in the world is going on here?"

Luna breaks herself free from the ice. She returns her pokemon but pichu to their respective balls. "Just trying to sort out a mess here."

(Rolling for pokémon in this order; Metang, Pawniard, Solosis, Sigilyph. I'll just let Dave decide what wins and doesn't this being a non-standard situation.)

Venus turns around and runs after the Pelipper for a little ways, before stopping and staring up after it. "Dang. What an opportunity. Oh well." She walks back to the group.

'Well then, everyone. Seeing as how you all just got your fill of laughs at me," Venus wipes a bit of Pelipper spit off her face, "I hope we can get on to new and better things." Turning to Watson, "I am glad a," she raises an eyebrow almost imperceptibly (as in, role if you want your character to notice it; it's not important), "cooler head has prevailed. Oh, and for the record Aaron, what you did would have noble, had it been against someone who was attacking you or us, rather than I, whose pokémon were all disabled and who was simply yelling."

"Now then. With the hope that that could solve our personal problems, for the time being," Venus says, turning to May, "Allow me to introduce myself; I am Venus Stone, and these are my companions and erstwhile friends Dawn, Aaron, and Luna, as well as the gym leaders, whom I presume you already know from their reputations, or one of the Gym leader profile shows. You have excellent timing, as I believe we were just trying to decide what to do about Team Rocket's domination of the continents, when we fell into a bit of... disharmony... and then that shadow Pelipper just attacked out of NOWHERE."

Softening a bit from the formal tone she had fallen into out of stress, Venus finishes, "It's really good to meet you. I love that Turtwig of yours already, and if you're truly as unattached and adventurous as you look, I think we could really use an extra team member... if that's okay with everyone else." Venus hastily adds.

Venus begins to shake her pokémon awake as her words wash over May, and then after checking them each thoroughly for wounds, she hugs each one of them, and asks them to help a bit with the clean up, when they start to feel better. Most of them, just being sleepy start in on the new task with enthusiasm after a quick stretch.

"Nice to meet you Venus" said May stepping forward to shake her hand, "if you want my help you've got it! I have a bone to pick with team Rocket anyway, involving their attempt to take my sweet little Turtwig from me." May then went on to help sort out the mess which the Peliper had caused.

"I think that depends on how we are going to deal with Team Rocket," Said May, "I think we need to hit team rocket in strategic positions such as their sub-headquarters within each town." Then May added ," assuming they have those kind of bases. For we can't fight every Team Rocket member."

Luna sits down and thinks. she pets her Pichu and pulls out a heavy ball she crafted. "Even if we hit those sub-headquarters we may as well end up dead." She gets up and walks to a cabinet and pulls out a hand drawn map of the town. It is more detailed than normal maps and shows the alleys, sewer system, and building shortcuts. "We could try to hit their headquarters here. It would be a good first target, and I do know this town like the back of my hand." Luna laughs. She points at a star on the map. "For future reference, this is where home base is, aka my house." She points at the detailed pokemon center. "This is where we just were when the Registeel attacked. As for where the rocket HQ is, It is probably a building well know, centralized, and in a position to not look like it is the Rocket HQ."

Venus frowns slightly and addresses the group thoughtfully. "The way I see it, our bottom line is this: we need to assess our position and decide on a course of action. Now let's consider." Venus ticks off points on her hands;

"1. How strong are we? What CAN we do against team Rocket?"
"2. How coordinated is Team Rocket? I've studied organizational structure, and history. I know that in the past, Team Rocket hasn't been highly coordinated; in fact, they had fatal weaknesses at the best of times, and at the worst they were, well, incompetent. So,"
"3. What makes them different now?"
"4. How much power can they muster all at once if we were to attack them, and how fast?"
"5. Where is their power concentrated, and how do they maintain it?"
Venus switches from her right hand to her left.
"6. How easily could they track us if we fought insurgent style, and what could we do to make it harder for them to track us?"
"7. How can we get stronger, if we're too weak to do against them directly right now?"
"8. How DO we want to fight Team Rocket?"
"9.Will having a permanent base be a liability or an asset to our fight, and how would we operate without one? and"
"10. Which of all of those do we need to know the most, and how can we figure it out?"

Luna drops her hands to her sides. "That pretty much covers it right? So what do we all think?"

"Listen up Venus." Luna says. "We cannot sit around and contemplate. They already know where we are. That Shadow pokemon will lead them back here." Luna sighs. "Those are good Ideas, yet now is not the time to think about those. We can spend all of our time bickering, or we can use our time wisely and get moving."

Venus whirls on Luna. "Don't you start again with your giving everyone orders you world-class... (she withholds her words with difficulty.)"

"Now listen. And listen closely. Everyone here has a different idea of what they "know" (uses quotation marks hand gesture for emphasis). Now, all I'm proposing is that we get our facts straight. (holding up a hand to stifle Luna inevitable protest) Now, JUST for example, how do you really know that the shadow pelipper was under team rocket's control? I didn't see any control devices, and it's rather hard for a trainer to control a pokémon over long distances without such a device, let alone a SHADOW pokémon. For all you know it could have escaped from Team Rocket and could be wild now.

Who knows? Which is exactly my point. Now, it won't take us longer than ten minutes to get our facts straight if we [i]stop arguing[i] and start talking, and if we decide we need to leave, then we can do it probably before that pelipper gets back to Team Rocket and convinces them that it knows where we are. Bickering is exactly what I am trying to prevent and you are trying to aid. Get over yourself. Making informed decisions can be quicker, easier, and is certainly less painful in the end than acting rashly.

Now, sounds to me like everyone has their own plan. Either we get our facts straight and make a decision in the next five to ten minutes, or, you can argue with me and the others (mostly the others) about exactly what we SHOULD do for the next hour. Your choice."

And Pokemon stay with in range of their trainers, and it would make sense for team Rocket to track escaped shadow Pokemon even if it did manage to escape."

Luna sighs. "I can also see that trying to reason with you is like trying to reason with a Golem. We do not have the time to sit around and decide every last one of our actions. We need to get moving most of the talking we can do while we are on the move. If we stay still we are easier targets."

"I also agree that we shouldn't act rashly, but sometimes it is unavoidable. In this the real world, people will act rashly on their side. We have to anticipate that. If we act all proper and with easily seen precision, we can easily be stopped."

"I am tired of arguing with you, and it is better for everyone if you just shut up for a while so they can think it through. I will tend to Aaron's Injuries and prep some medical supplies for the trip. If you really want to ask someone questions. Ask the Gym leaders, they are more informed about this than Any of us."

Luna gets up and tends to Aaron's injuries.

"Again with this 'know' word. I don't think, unless you come from Team Rocket, that you could know any such thing. We have no idea how these shadow pokémon work."

(A little seperation of player and character knowledge please? When has your character had any detailed interactions with Shadow Pokémon? Also, please note; Venus IS asking the gym leaders, as well as everyone; NOT JUST LUNA. Don't go down this road. Let Dave have some time to post the answers, or let someone else react; this is "Pokémon Alexandrite," not "The Luna and Venus Argument Thead.")

"Actually, I rather like Golems; nice pokémon. Strong willed, determined, and once they decide on a course of action, they act on it, gaining momentum as they do. I think you haven't had much experience with Golems if you think they're that stubborn. Moreover, before we move, we need to have some idea where we SHOULD move, so as to not walk in to Team Rocket's hands. I notice not even you have that."

"Actually, history shows us Team Rocket is usually the rash, disorganized one. If we act with precision, we should have the upper hand. Unless we have a spy in our ranks, precision is not easily seen, and with just a few minutes of talking, which you've already wasted debating me on whether or not I should have the right to ask questions, we CAN avoid being rash."

"I guess you didn't hear a word Watson just said a few minutes ago, did you? They aren't the ultimate authorities, but I ABSOLUTELY value their opinions, and any DEFINITE knowledge they have. Which is why I was asking everyone's opinion. Now, if you don't have any more objections, be quiet for a minute, so EVERYONE can get a word in edge-wise for a change."

Dawn sighed and sat down near the door. I don't know how much more of this I can take... She much preferred Luna's suggestion that they leave rather than work out all the possible details, but she didn't feel like involving herself in the argument, so she kept her mouth shut and watched the two older girls have at it.

May didn't want to get involved in a big discussion either and sat down next to Dawn. May thought about what Luna had said, (the part with the trainer and how shadow Pokemon need one) and decided to ask Dawn "while those two are talking things over, do you want to track down the Peliper? It can't be far off if it has to be near its trainer."

Venus generally waits for everyone (particularly Dave, considering he represents not only a character, but the gym leaders too) to have a say, but acknowledges May's suggestion with a nod of approval. She looks slightly skeptically at Dawn as she sits silent.

(I'm going to assume in general that no substantial time passes until Dave posts, if that's okay with everyone.)

Luna flicks off Venus after Venus's Rant. "If you don't value my opinion you can duck off. This is my Home, and as such I expect you to behave yourself. BEfore you go pointing fingers at people claiming they are spies. How do we know your not a spy trying to stall us? THe answer we don't, so we are going to have to trust each other. Team Rocket has not acted rash in their take over of my Home City, and of the Johto region. They are changing their tactics, and we have to ready to change as fast as they are."

Luna doesn't raise her voice this whole time. She calmly tends to Aaron's wounds ignoring every word that Venus says from here on out.

"Besides the facts of our present situation, I'm trying to get the feel for what the whole group wants to do, before our resident demagogue (Venus indicates Luna with a casual nod) takes away everyone's free will. Or worse; gets us all killed. I find it funny that we all love to discuss what we should be doing, but trying in an organized fashion to discuss what we should be doing? No, that's right out. I want to act as much as everyone else; in fact, if you'll recall, I'm probably itchier to go fight Team Rocket; but as Luna pointed out then but forgets now, safety and caution have their place too. Honestly, I think she just wants to use me as a punching bag to make herself look tough, but what I think doesn't matter. All that matters is that we do something; intelligently AND quickly."
