Thom looks at the blade and gives it a few swings sparks dancing from the blade. He smiles before sheathing the sword and catching up to everyone.

Quills stood towards the back, little impressed with the groups fighting skill. Or so he told himself. "does it matter from who the gold came from? Gold is gold."

Allenin finished his Alto Wine, and knocks on the glowing stone. "Shall we keep going?"

The water seems to have stopped flowing, and now becomes still and silent. There is the soft glow of the red stones ahead, and the iron gate still remains closed. The room remains littered with bones and bits of pottery, and the word wall still stands alone at the bottom of the cavern. The smells of wet stone and moss grow more heavy, with the cavern cold and damp.

Ilyssa crossed over to the side with the glowing red stones, heading for the gates. "Okay...why do these doors not have any levers to open them?"

Allenin stands, and walks away from the stone as the glow fades. "I'm going to fill my waterskin, how about you go do dragon things or something." He sighs, as he walks past. He goes to the waters edge, and fills his waterskin as he stares at the water. A sudden tiredness flows into his head, and he rests his hands in the cold water to wake himself.

The rest of the room yields no levers or pull rings. The stones have small runes covering the entire surface, and begin to hum if anyone goes near them.

"Okay, well, you and Thom are the mages..." Ilyssa made a sort of sweeping gesture indicating that the mages should therefore examine the glowy rocks.

Allenin gives a low sigh, and watches. He kind of enjoyed the bickering and and disorder. Was like a family in some weird sort of way. Not that it mattered much the Allen. He sits down, leaning on the wall, and opens his pack for some leavened bread. He leaves room for the others to work or sit, and chews harshly. A few crumbs fall across his face, and he wipes them off. Spotty stubble across his face had been growing more noticable the last few days, giving the ranger a shaggy look. The skins and long elven hair compleated the look of a 'one with woods'.

When the dragonborn look at the runes more carefully, there is small symbols that look familiar, along with thin lines that branch, looking like a hand.

After Illysia had finally fallen silent, Quills was able to fully concetrate on the task at hand. He decided to start on the left side, carefully scanning the mural.

As Quills scans the stone, it glows a softer red. It seems to glow brighter the closer you get to it. The red stone is covered in Dovah-Zul runes and words. Their direct meaning is lost to you, but you can tell they have an essence of magika within them.

Ilyssa, watching from one side, noticed the glow's intensity fluctuating as well - she didn't read much into it, so there was probably something that the Argonian mage was getting out of this that she wasn't.

Quills notices the traces of magika and starts slowly reaching out with his own. Of course he does so carefully, in case of nasty side-effects.

The stone flashes a bright red, filling the room in a bloody hue. There is a sudden crunch, and the iron gate lifts open. Quills feels a voice call him. "Enter!" It booms into his ears, and his ears alone.

Without waiting for the group to respond, Quills enters just as the voice had commanded him.

As Quills enters, he feels his head pound as strange magika tries to take hold of his form and enter into his body. The other see him shimer in white and red, the gate remaining open for the rest to enter the chamber. I'm searching it! Ok!? I think its the wrong one! The voice seems to yell to another, fighting in Quills head. Keep looking you daft fool! He's the only one we can enter! Try harder if you want to stop living in that stupid soul gem with me. My god your as whiney as you were 7 decades ago!

Quills starts fighting back against the intruder. He didn't want anything taking hold of his body.

Ilyssa noticed what was happening to Quills - but more importantly, that door was open. She gave the stones a wide berth, in case whatever hit the Argonian came after her as well, before slinking through the gates, sticking to the shadows in case of more draugr.

Allenin raises a brow at Quills, and follows Ilyssa. Mages are weird... He thinks to himself as he follows.

I'm Daft!? Look who can't best some novice mage! My god woman, you could nag an ear off! Oh shut up, will you? I'm trying to work this out! You keep bothering me! Quills is able to keep all their magic at bay, and gets the feeling they are mostly harmless. However, that does not stop him from hearing them bicker at one another.
