The moment he mentions her scales, her hand shot over and covered her neck. Her breathing began to hasten as she looks at him then at the others one by one, "I...I have to go." She quickly push past Vance and power walks away from the group.

[Flagmauth]

Sienna blinked, watching Nisha leave before glancing at the other two. "That was...weird. Is Atlas really that bad?"

[A Blind Guy]

"Should we... go after her?"

[Flagmauth]

"I'm not sure...what if we just make it worse? She seemed pretty scared." Sienna said, biting her lip.

[A Blind Guy]

"That's a good point. We should be heading inside anyway. "

[Helsing]

Vance scratched the back of his head, "Oh shit, that's on me. But... yeah Atlas and Faunus... they don't mix that well. Most of them are used for... labor."

[Flagmauth]

"You mean they're enslaved." Sienna scowled.

[A Blind Guy]

"in any case, we should head inside, I'll go ahead and save you guys some good  seats." Sterling turns and walks into Beacon.

[Flagmauth]

"Yeah, you're right. See you around." Sienna said, heading off as well.

Nisha manages to find the bathroom. She locked the door behind her and went to the mirror, she grabs her hair and moved it over her left shoulder to see that it was true, her scales lightly glimmered in the light causing her to groan as she pulled on her shirt's collar higher and fixed her hair. With that siad, she exited the restroom and headed to where everyone is going.

Sterling, having found enough free seats for he and the group, spots Nisha and waves her over.

*Nisha looks up just as she saw Sterling waving towards her. She looks around her to see if he was actually calling for someone else. No one. She smiled and hurried over to him.

[A Blind Guy]

"Welcome back, didn't mean to scare you off back there."

[Helsing]

As everyone sits down, the rest of the students pile into the amphitheater. Soon, the entire room is packed with students, each of them having their own conversations. The noise escalates to the point that you have to shout just to hear the person standing next to you.

A few teachers come out of the woodwork, taking positions along the walls.



Probably to make sure that everyone was stationed within the room, if anything. Some looked over the students with curiosity, another buried himself in his notebook, and another was drinking from what you could only assume is the largest whisky bottle you’ve seen in your life.

As such, their presence did nothing to stop the level of noise in the room. But all of that changed when Professor Goodwitch took the stage. She politely asked for everyone to quiet down, and when that didn’t work, a single glare stopped all noise entirely. She thanks the room for their silence, stepping to the side to allow a man to take the central mic.

The Great Headmaster Ozpin himself.

He adjusts his glasses as he looks over the crowd.

“Good day, to both new faces and old.”

Despite not inflecting his voice in the slightest, his words carry and echo throughout the hall.

“To all of you, regardless of nationality or affiliation, I bid you welcome to Beacon. To those of you who do not know me, and to those of you who do, I am Headmaster of this fine acadamy. Every last one of you is here for a reason. A reason that compelled you to throw away thoughts of a normal life, one of safety and happiness, in order to protect the people of Remnant. Whatever the reason, each and every one of them are irrelevant. For you are here now, and because of this, you all suffer from the same ailment.”

He deliberately pauses, and you can almost feel the crowd hold its breath in anticipation.

“Ignorance. Ignorance of the challenge you have taken upon yourself to face. You might think yourself ready, that your experiences have prepared you for the road ahead. And if you truly believe that, then you truly are not capable of handling the burdens of a hunter.”

He pauses again, taking a breath.

“You are not ready, but by the time that you step out of these halls, you will be. As your headmaster, I make you this promise. None of you will leave this academy unprepared for the trials ahead. However, you must be the one to take the first step. That is all.”

With that, he bows, and leaves.

[Helsing]

A few seats away, Vance blinks.

"Welp, my enthusiasm is dead."

[A Blind Guy]

"I agree completely."

[Flagmauth]

"That was...blunt." Sienna said after a moment, wincing.

"He seems like a really nice guy though."

[Helsing]

As Ozpin left the stage, Professor Goodwhich took his place.

"Would all first years please report to the ballroom, you will be resting their for the night before initiation. You are dismissed."

Immediately, the swarm of students started heading down the hall to the ballroom.

Sterling hangs back, waiting for the crowd to leave.

[Flagmauth]

Sienna quirked an eyebrow at the news that they were going to be sleeping in the ballroom of all places, but went to go with the others.

She gasped excited, "Are we having a sleepover?! I always wanted to have a sleep over. Come on before they get all the best spots!" She grabs hold of Sienna's arm and began to tug for her to come with her.

[A Blind Guy]

Sterling looks to Vance. "Well she seems excited, let's head over."

[Flagmauth]

Sienna had to quicken her pace to keep up or risk Nisha pulling her completely off her feet, surprised by the sudden reversal in the other girl's mood. "W-whoa! Slow down!"

[Helsing]

As she moves, the two of them pass by Thomas and Vance who were watching them wided eyed.

"They seem in high spirits." Thomas comments.

"One is," Vance comments, "I'm honestly worried about Sienna's arm."

About an hour later, everyone was in the ballroom with their respective sleeping bags and other personal items. Vance, Thomas and some other kid had set up a spot in the corner, the three of them going off about... wait were they talking about bombs?
