The Jaegers return to the base, welcomed as heroes by the cheering 'Dome personnel. "We Will Rock You" has been replaced by "We Are The Champions" and the Rangers, hoisted up on the shoulders of the techs and workers, find beers pressed into their hands as victory prizes. The damaged machines are rolled back into their slots.

In the debriefing room all pilots were being debriefed on there mission against harbanger
"The biggest lose was that of striker. And I don't think I have to tell everyone here that harbanger was only one of many"

The Kaidanovsky's look at each other before deciding on something "First and formost we need to repair all of the Jagers. And we need to get a better strategy, no more of this wait to get attacked and deal with the consciences of being either slow or stupid. We lost striker, and what we faced was one of many. You said we have the most experience, your right. And experience has told us that once one tough battle is won a greater battle is about to start"

The 'Dome foreman spoke up. "Already working on that. The Jaegers are being worked on as we speak."

The triplets spoke up again after the foreman was done. "So what did you have in mind?"

"Attack the Breach?"

"That's never worked, not even that last time with the nuclear bomb."

"We're not saying that we need to do something as drastic as the nuke idea again. That ended in disaster. But we do need a better way of defeating the kaiju. If we know what there weaknesses are we can better plan for there attacks"

The foreman looked around at the group with a "how-do-you-not-know-this" expression. "Decommissioned and scrapped Jaegers, remember? Romeo Blue, Horizon Brave, Shaolin Rogue, Cossack Delta....We can refurbish some of them, surely, and the others can be scrapped to build new Jaegers."

"Funding. The LA city government doesn't have either the manpower or the money to do that by itself, and the PPDC and the federal government have been too busy with the Wall. Come to think of it, we still don't have the infrastructure or resources to refurbish most of those Jaegers."

The foreman nodded.

Another Shatterdome official spoke up. "Whatever that Cat 5 did in Hawaii, it's knocked out our communications. Everything outside the city is down. We can't raise the government at the state or federal level, and on top of that since the triple event we've detected near-innumerable kaiju signatures. None of them have headed here yet but we know that some of them have made landfall both north and south of our city. If we try to get to Oblivion Bay we'll need to fight our way there."

The Jaegers needed to be repaired first. Kaiju were swarming ashore; not near Los Angeles at the moment, fortunately. But landline communications were destroyed relatively soon.

Tyler walked to the Shatter Dome commanding officer's office. He hesitated before knocking on the door.

"Sir, this is Tyler, pilot of Titian Atlas. May I come in?" Tyler asked as his nerves got worse. 'Why am I going to ask my CO to eject Trent? Trent was injured in battle and his arm is useless, he can't take going back into a Jaeger, this is for the best. Can I take Trent's rage when I don't leave with him? I have to save lives as a pilot there is nothing else I can do.' Tyler thought to himself but his internal struggle only breaks when his CO responds.
