"Yeah, big. That's pretty much all we know at the moment, so be careful - We insulated Crimson against EMP in case another one of those bastards pop up but we don't know what else these will be capable of."

[Helsing]

"So if they come at us with lasers, you can't do much" Cave joked

[Flagmauth]

"Actually they could have lasers - based on-"

Hansen interrupted him. "We don't have time for a biology lesson here, Rangers. Let's just leave it at 'be ready for anything.'"

A short pause followed. "...right, sorry sir. The Category IVs are approximately five kilometers ahead of Aegaeon, they'll reach the Miracle Mile in less than two minutes."

[Helsing]

"Then lets give them a warm Cave Johnson welcome"

[A Blind Guy]

Over the com pod, the theme for attack on titan started playing from Ronin.

"Come get some you ugly sons of B***s." Kamina snarls.

"Please turn that off. We need to concentrate on the task at hand." The Jaeger moves in front of the other two blades spinning "Which one first?"

At that point, they watched on their HUDs as the icon representing Raiju darted out from under Mesa's choppers, evading detection to cries of shock from LOCCENT and the helo pilots. "Christ, that thing has to be the fastest kaiju on record, watch yourselves!"

Crimson Typhoon, having moved forward, caught a glimpse of a dark shape beneath the water, moving impossibly fast, before Raiju burst upwards towards the unaware Tacit Ronin, blindsiding the Japanese Jaeger and throwing it onto its back with a claw before diving into the waters of Tokyo Bay. It happened so fast nobody even got a good look at Raiju, besides that it was crocodilian in shape.

Then, with Ronin still getting to its feet, it was attacked again by Scunner, though the more agile Jaeger adroitly stepped aside so the kaiju's horns went harmlessly into the water. Scunner was a fair mountain of kaiju flesh - not so much as the Category V they had seen on the news, but still larger than any of the Jaegers present. It bellowed a challenge to the giant machines, advancing on Romeo.

Herc keyed the comms. "Typhoon, Cherno, your target is Raiju. Get him out of the bay and don't let him into the city!"

"Cherno Alpha, we copy." Sasha and Aleksis turned the Russian machine away from Scunner and strode back towards Tokyo, looking for the other kaiju.

Crimson Typhoon stepped closer to Ronin and with its saw-blades at the ready looked for Raiju "what about Scunner?"

[Helsing]

"Why can't these things get easyer to kill?" Cave asks

[Flagmauth]

"What about Scunner?" Hansen sounded annoyed. "Romeo and Ronin will handle him, your priority is Raiju."

Scunner observed its options. Ronin was still getting to its feet, and Romeo was a problem with those Gatling cannons. That made things relatively simple - the Category 4 snorted and charged straight for the American Jaeger.

Raiju had disappeared again, to the unending annoyance of the two Jaegers, LOCCENT, and Mesa - the latter shut off his mic mid-curse after he realized he was still transmitting. Cherno Alpha was striding into the bay ahead of Typhoon, when all of a sudden they stopped. LOCCENT took note, and Don opened the comm up, "What's wrong, Cherno?"

Sasha sounded disgusted. "Half our external sensors are offline, we're blind on our right side." If anyone from J-Tech was listening and understood Russian, the following sentence would probably have caused them to leave the country for fear of their lives.

Back in LOCCENT's control room, Hansen cursed the lack of qualified personnel. "Typhoon, move up and give Cherno some cover on his right flank."

Ronin regains his balance and activates it's jets, shooting toward Scunner while activating it's arm blades.

Typhoon moved to the right of Cherno, looking about as it approached for Raiju.

Romeo took a battle stance to get out of the way of the approaching monster, not before shooting it full of lead from its guns

Romeo's shells impacted on Scunner's heavy frontal armor, causing the charging kaiju to halt its advance and bellow in annoyance. Behind it, Ronin, rocket boosters firing, suddenly charged forward, raising an arm with blade extended to stab it into the Category 4's back.

Except Scunner shifted abruptly and the blade scraped off an armor plate, smashing harmlessly into the surf.

Crimson Typhoon's gaze swept the waters of the bay, and focused on a sudden shape appearing from the water. Raiju surged into the air like a breaching whale, its face folding back to reveal a secondary, screaming head encased within, before the kaiju smashed into Typhoon like a runaway train, bearing the Chinese Jaeger beneath the water and raising a claw to strike at the Conn-Pod.

Cherno Alpha's sensors may have been largely compromised, but there was no way they could have missed the waves Raiju left in its wake. The massive Russian machine turned to the right to see Raiju just about to strike. With no time to lose, the Kaidonovskys drew their fists back in unison, then rammed them forward.

Cherno duplicated the action perfectly, scaled up to the size that had kept the Siberian Wall unbroken for years. The machine's fist, immense power augmented by the pistons in the forearm, caught Raiju in its flank and damn near knocked it off Typhoon entirely. Deciding Cherno couldn't actually be ignored, the monster turned just in time to receive a Tesla-infused uppercut to the jaw, the sharp crack of electrical discharge handily disorienting it as it fell backwards off of Typhoon. 

Back in the Chinese machine's Conn-Pod, the comm blinked to life. "Stop lying there like carpet! Get up and fight!" Aleksis roared to the triplets while Cherno circled around the downed Jaeger

Behind Ronin, the water suddenly rose and surged forward as though a tsunami had spontaneously formed out of nowhere. A horned snout pierced the surface, followed by the rest of Aegaeon as the Category 5 waded towards the Jaegers, snarling. The beast was clearly build along the same body plan that Trespasser, Knifehead and Mutavore were - two immense clawed forelimbs, powerful legs and a stubby pair of spiked vestigial arms between the two.

Aegaeon, however, took it up a notch or twelve. The set of claws on the kaiju was big enough to fully grasp the torso of any of the Jaegers in one "hand," and probably crush it outright, whereas the normally stubby and weak middle limbs were muscled and tipped in wicked spikes, held like the arms of a praying mantis. And of course the whole thing was about twice the size of the largest Category 4 on record (Scunner).

Most people when faced with something as big and scary as a kaiju would run away screaming as long as they weren't batsh@t insane, The two pilots of Romeo Blue were part of the later group. They were chosen to be pilots for the same two reasons as every Jeager pilot, they were expert fighters, and they they thought that fighting monsters on the front line was a hell of a lot better then hiding behind safe lines.

Cave smiled a crazy smile, and Eren adopted a grin that made his brother look sane in compassion "Mesa, give us a soft spot to put a big @#$%hole in this thing" the americans said in unison

Typhoon stood up, and slashed at Raiju with its' saw-blade arms.

Ronin activates it's jets to try and get out of the way of the advancing claws.

Raiju screeched, face expanding like a grotesque carnivorous flower, as Typhoon advanced towards it, swinging both right arms back and then sweeping them forward, tearing away scales the size of flatbed trucks from the kaiju's chest before it could react as the Jaeger's other arm came back, powered even further by the rockets on Typhoon's back, and ripped the bottom part of Raiju's face covering clear off, tossing it away into the surf. 

The beast howled in pain and drew its claws back to strike, but when it swiped them forward they sparked harmlessly off of a green tower of thick iron armor. Cherno Alpha's foghorn bellowed, the low note echoing across the bay as twenty foot spikes sunk into the bay floor from the Russian Jaeger's feet. Raiju screamed and drove another clawed hand forward, only for Cherno to parry it handily with one enormous fist as the other crashed into the side of the monster's skull, flooring it instantly in a titanic spray of water and Kaiju Blue. The Kaidonovskys' machine stepped forward, putting one foot atop the stunned Raiju's skull, then deployed the stabilizer spikes again, puncturing the monster's head in three places before Cherno leaned its weight forward on that foot.

"Kaiju signature lost! Raiju is down!" LOCCENT crowed. Don added some editorial comments regarding Raiju's parentage that didn't warrant repeating.

As Tacit Ronin fell back away from the suddenly appearing Aegaeon, they left Romeo Blue in something of a situation. With Scunner on one side and the Category 5 on the other, the refurbished American Jaeger had its work cut out for it just surviving the next few seconds, let alone protecting the city of Tokyo.

Scunner bellowed and rushed forward, a mountain of toxic flesh tipped in razor-sharp horns and claws. Cave and Eren half-turned Romeo so as to keep both kaijus within the Conn-Pod's field of view and brought the machine's left elbow around to catch Scunner right in the eye, causing it to scrape to a halt as Romeo reared back and slammed the giant metal fin on the front of its torso straight down onto the kaiju's skull.

They weren't done yet, grabbing both of Scunner's horns in either hand and slotting out the rotary cannons in Romeo Blue's chest, before emptying most of the magazine into Scunner's face, cratering and blasting away the armored flesh and blowing one of the hammerhead-like eyestalks off of its head. The kaiju roared and batted Romeo's arms away, but the damage had already been done.

"Should we go for the category 5 or the category 4?" the brothers asked across the mic.

[Helsing]

"Well maybe you should take a break to get one of these things some tea" Cave says before the brothers brought down there arms for another strike "Or you can help keep a F###ing category 5 from taking us apart as we deal with this little sh#t"

Ronin boosts up and over the charging kaiju, then it brings it's arm blades to bear and falls toward the beast.

The Johnson brothers move to a better position and start pummeling the kaiju
