"What was that about having a wall to protect us you overconfident a$Sholes?" Kamina asks, slamming his fist on the table.

[Flagmauth]

"Break the table and you'll buy a new one, Ranger." Hansen said evenly. The use of the word Ranger got him questioning looks from the Russians, Don and the Chinese.

****Tokyo Bay****

The Shingeki no Kyojin was a research vessel, currently in the employ of the Tokyo city government taking samples from the bay water. Pollution in the Bay was an extreme concern, with the Wall in place severely constricting the natural flow of water in and out. It was the boat's extraordinary bad fortune that it wasn't a hundred feet away when the inner surface of the wall crumbled.

The resulting wave nearly capsized the tiny boat, throwing crew members off the deck into the water below. Said crew members bobbed in the newly-disturbed ocean, shrieking for help from a boat whose motors were beginning to run at top speed, wheeling around to move away from the Wall. But all that noise, the shrieks and the whine of the engines, was drowned by a basso growl that might have come from Hell itself. 

The mid-afternoon sunlight was blocked out around them by a cloud of dust. Distantly, as though in a dream, the sailors could hear the JSDF troops atop the wall firing every weapon they could scrounge up - mostly small arms that had been intended to stop the BuenaKai terrorists or anti-Wall protestors. Then, through the newly-formed fog, four pairs of glowing blue eyes, against huge silhouettes.

The Wall was broken. 

Credit where it was due, somebody had the presence of mind to activate the city's warning sirens.

"Well at least they sounded the F*#king alarm." Suzaku comments.

[Flagmauth]

All of them were looking at the television screen now. "There's no way they can stop them." One of the Weis said. "Not unless..."

"C'mon, you bastards, figure it out..." Hansen growled.

[Helsing]

"I know there was at least one person with a brain when I left" Cave says

[Flagmauth]

Not half a minute later, the two kaiju were busy marching across the bay when Hansen's phone rang. He brought it to his ear. "This is Herc Hansen."

[Helsing]

"Please be good news" Cave thought

Eren got up and stood at attention

The Wei Tang brothers circled the desk, all their attention on the phone.

[Flagmauth]

Almost half a minute went by with the silence unbroken except the faint murmur of whoever was on the other end of that phone call. Then, in hilariously poor Japanese, Hansen spoke. "はい、市長さん."

Replacing the phone, he looked around the room. 




"All of you, in the drivesuit rooms, now! Move it!"

[Helsing]

"Yes Sir!" Cave and Eren say in unison

"Of course!"

[Helsing]

Cave and Eren quickly go up to there rooms

'You heard the man, let's get the hell in a jaeger." Kamina says as he and Suzaku run to the room, both with grins of excitement on their face.

[Flagmauth]

The Russians were silent, arguably the most reserved of the group. But both of them had smirks on their faces.


The drivesuit rooms were in remarkable condition, for the 'Dome having been offline for so long. They passed the J-Tech head bellowing instructions to engineers half as tall again as she was. The empathic receptor suits were first to go on - the familiar feeling of the sensors against the pilots' skin, connecting the diagnostic sensors of the machines to the pilots' bodies. 

Sirens blared as the three nuclear-powered Jaegers' Conn-Pods were lowered on rails (in Cherno's case, horizontally) into place. The reactors on the enormous machines were already heating up - they were designed to be able to do so in the event of a failure of the sensor web. 

The mechanical thudding and movement of servos surrounded the pilots as their Conn-Pods anchored in place, except for the Wei Tang triplets whose Jaeger was non-nuclear and whose Conn-Pod was therefore affixed to the colossus' neck. The voice of the onboard AI, in four different languages, acknowledged that the machines were prepared to start up:

"Pɪʟᴏᴛ-ᴛᴏ-ᴘɪʟᴏᴛ ᴄᴏɴɴᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴏᴄᴏʟ sᴇǫᴜᴇɴᴄᴇ. Nᴇᴜʀᴀʟ ʜᴀɴᴅsʜᴀᴋᴇ ɪɴɪᴛɪᴀᴛᴇᴅ. Rᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴄᴛɪᴠᴀᴛᴇ ᴛʜᴇ Jᴀᴇɢᴇʀ"

Four enormous sets of doors slid slowly open as nine minds Drifted together to become four, and huge lights blinked on against the armor of the steel warriors.

All that remained was to step into the Bay.

[Helsing]

"I know I don't speak, Chinese, Japanese's or Russian but who other then me has missed this?" Eren says

"Were going to be fighting boy so shut up and walk" Cave says to his brother. With that Romeo Blue stepped out into the bay

[A Blind Guy]

"Tacit Ronin ready to deploy, let's go Suzaku." Kamina says, as he and Suzaku start walking.

[Flagmauth]

"Cherno Alpha, moving into the bay." Sasha said over the radio as the Russian juggernaut ponderously entered the water.

[Helsing]

"Lets kill some kaiju"

[Flagmauth]

The comms opened up. "Rangers, this is LOCCENT. The kaiju are currently in downtown Tokyo. Head north out of the bay."

         
Another feed opened, this one from the Shatterdome helicopters that were up and tracking the two kaiju's movements. "This is Mesa Black. Looks like neither of them know you're coming, Rangers. How about we fix that?"

[Helsing]

"Lets introduce them to the band"

[Flagmauth]

Mesa pinged their comms again as the four Jaegers strode across the bay. "Both of the kaiju are located less than half a kilometer east of the Arakawa River. Otachi's tearing up some office building's and Leatherback's going for...I don't even know what that is, looks like the unholy offspring of a baseball diamond and a golf course."

The apelike kaiju looked back as it heard the Jaegers advancing. It saw four of them, and immediately roared a challenge as the two Asian machines neared it. This caused Otachi to look up from its destruction and notice them as well.
